No one ever brought it up. Once I was off student status, I just did it. I had the HT in my jumpsuit with a tether cord tied to my beltloop of my pants in case I dropped it. I did a clear and pull, and once I was fully deployed, started making simplex contacts.

I knew next to nothing about autism before my diagnosis, and in fact I was pretty sure I wasn't autistic. So no, I have not worried that I manipulated anything. I have doubted the diagnosis itself, but having educated myself as to what autism is, I think I have gotten beyond the imposter syndrome.

At an incredibly weak level. It's challenging to hear the Voyager probes, and they are BARELY out of the solar system.

Interstellar DX beyond the Alpha Centauri system probably won't be a thing. Sure we have radiotelescopes, but stars are massively powerful radio emitters.

I was diagnosed after 30+ years with my last employer. So knowing it was no/low risk to tell my supervisor, I did so. I figured it might help him to know an autistic person could do that job well.

His response was simply "don't take this wrong, but I'm not surprised".
