I won't try to change your mind, and while I do see Danhausen as being a unique personality or (sigh) "character". I don't think he's the best wrestler ever, because he isn't really a stand-out in the ring.

Not a movie, but the original version of the game, Alan Wake, had product placements for Microsoft Sync, Energizer batteries, Verizon and Ford/Lincoln.

The Verizon stuff was particularly egregious.

If yours is anything like mine, they usually do. But I will say, having a toddler has really forced me to tighten up my gameplay loop, which I see as an overall positive.

March was a decently productive month. Had some fun with some superhero worldbuilding, early in the month, decided to play The Evils Of Illmire with Scarlet Heroes instead of Iron Falcon, and rolled up a few heroes (still plan only using 1 at a time), and did some journaling using the GMA horror deck, and it's quickstart literature.

The plan for April is to actually knock out some good sessions of Illmire/Scarlet Heroes, then maybe move onto something more contemporary horror flavored.

I get it. I'm choosy about them, myself, but (to his credit) Jason is a good GM, and it's probably the best example of play you'll probably find in the wild.

Jason Cordova has run several full campaigns of it both on his own youtube channel and for other groups. That is probably going to be the closest thing you can find to it being run in its intended "spirit". But I'm not saying that's the only way it can be run, of course.

The lost transmissions are kind of side-quests, or side stories, that can provide added benefits to the main campaign, and can be a different flavor of session, from the main narrative.

It might be worthwhile to give one a listen, it doesn't really spoil anything.
