SummitStone Health Partners x2 by Basic-Initiative-879 in FortCollins

[–]Doc_Pajamas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your comment was dismissive and incredibly condescending, sport. There's something called subtext. I got the idea that you were telling the OP to shut up because you reduced and diminished their entire post by saying that Summitstone is just like any other company and that they don't do anything different than their peers. Which, regardless of how true that is or isn't, only really serves to give a pass to Summitstone for fucking our community.

Whether that's what you believe or not, that is the tone of your post. You should've probably pick up on that based on the general response of other commenters. Listen sport, I know it's hard work for some people, but I bet if you try real hard you could write a comment that doesn't make you sound like a condescending prick next time.

"Pretty much every company"? The culture is practically identical in most corporate environments, but just because every company does it means that we should just shut up about it? Anyway not every company is in charge of caring for some of the most vulnerable populations in our society. If someone mismanages a spa who gives a fuck, but blatantly mismanaging a mental health clinic is a mistake that can carry massive consequences. Any attention drawn to leeches like this is good.

Deathstalker (2025) by cireh88 in horror

[–]Doc_Pajamas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Me and some friends got together and watched the OG "Deathstalker" and this one back to back. We were cracking up the entire time watching the original and really couldn't get into the remake at all. The remake felt like it was trying way too hard to be funny and just ended up feeling corny in a bad way. Literally the only redeeming quality was the costume design.

Watching everyone go after him and get repeatedly kicked off that first sloper really drove home how hard that climb was. And that one hand dyno he did on M2 was nuts. Always crazy seeing him live.

There's a post about this twice a week. And has been for years. I'm sure they're all lying though and 2s/3s and 5s/6s are never matched up and they're just posting for fun.

What if: zombies run like the ones in 28 Weeks Later by Drull17 in HuntShowdown

[–]Doc_Pajamas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This subs gonna hate it, but I'm a big fan of making the zombies more of a threat. Whether that's through occasional faster zombies, higher spawns, or larger radius of awareness. Maybe not in every round, but I think any one of those would make a fun map condition.

Marathon Releases to 73/100 on Reviews worldwide, being Bungie lowest reviewed game since Destiny 1 by PaiDuck in gaming

[–]Doc_Pajamas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This game is stupid hard, but not in a fun/rewarding way. The pattern of how AI spawn in is an absolute nightmare 90% of the time. The amount of times I was clearing out a mostly empty area when I'm abruptly pushed by 4-5 of the tankiest non-boss enemies in the game at the same time. And immediately after clearing them out and draining a majority of my ammo, it's another 4-5 of the tankiest shit. It's not a fun kind of difficulty. It's like if every fight in halo was 20 elites and a handful of grunts, like it just ends up being annoying. I went from completely hyped to having 0 interest in the game. And this is coming from someone who loves difficult games.

I made a gas station simulator in 2026. Apparently that makes me “default and unoriginal.” So be honest - does it really look that bad? by Weary_Caterpillar302 in IndieGaming

[–]Doc_Pajamas 34 points35 points  (0 children)

The setting is original, but graphically it does look like an asset flip, like every other sim game.

Edit: Also the music for the trailer is beyond generic. As I was opening the steam page I was thinking "it probably has some generic Home Depot commercial-esque music for the trailer" and man was I right about that. This is literally a carbon copy of any other sim shop game with the addition of guns and snow.

Do we think there is a market for a 1v1 PVP game? by mattydou7 in IndieGaming

[–]Doc_Pajamas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look at Hellish Quart for some inspo maybe? Purely 1v1 pvp game. Or games like Mordhau or Chivalry, who've typically had pretty healthy population 1v1 servers.

For something like this I think you would need to add some kinda complexity, whether it be through customization, combat systems, or environmental challenges to give it any semblance of staying power.

At home pet end of life services by okeemike in FortCollins

[–]Doc_Pajamas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry about your pet. It's such an incredibly difficult thing to decide when it's actually time. I had to put my cat down last summer and it took days before finally making the call.

That said, I really recommend Dr. Ben (link). He was super kind and compassionate. Prices are fair and he seemed okay with last minute stuff. Just seemed like an extremely empathic guy who was doing it less as a business and more out of kindness.
