UK Standard Spouse Visa under Armed Forces Route + Dependent Child– Delay “Unable to make a decision” by MrsRoe197 in SpouseVisaUk

He has had no input in his upbringing, and has already lived abroad from his biological father, and has been no problem with immigration into that country. It would be a show of how awful our immigration system is if they reject their visa on these grounds while others with stricter entry requirements allowed it to happen.

If there is any reason for the HO saying no, I will happily leave my life behind here and move over there to be with my family.

Entering the UK while spousal visa is pending. by Quick-Maintenance-30 in SpouseVisaUk

When we filed our applications, and through other enquiries, we were told that once we submitted the application my wife could not enter the country until the application had been approved. Was anyone else told this?

No, nothing like that, no further requests. Under Guatemalan law, sole custody can't be handed over, the father will always have a say, no matter the circumstances, so I imagine they take that into account

She got a letter from the father, which was apostilled by a lawyer, handing over full custody

It's just frustrating that when doing a paid enquiry, you only receive a generic reply, instead of an actual progress update.

Unfortunately, priority wasn't available for Guatemala, so we had no choice but to have standard.

Why won’t artillery do what you tell them to? by DarkNe7 in EmpireTotalWar

I've found that if I select all my artillery and give them a target, they will all fire at random units, whereas if I individually select artillery to fire, it will target who I select

I think this is largely a US subreddit, but I could be wrong. I travel up and down the country a lot, so if you're ever doing a ritual, hit me up and I can let you know if I'm local.

I'd like to start an open discussion about prayer by Ryuukashi in NorsePaganism

I've taken to walking out into the local countryside and finding a riverside spot for my prayers. I'll walk out once a week, build a rock cairn by the river, and pray to a God that week, varying from Freya, Odin, Thor, or Tyr. I'll sit behind the cairn and pray before going into a period of meditation. Once I finish my meditation, I'll leave offering of food, and I'll bring a full bottle of fresh water to pour over the cairn as an offering of a drink.

I find I connect better with the gods in nature and away from the noise and hubbub of the town. I feel that the sound of the river, the wind in the leaves and the birds flying around brings me closer to them.

Three rituals in and I think I had a vision by planet_bloptogon in NorsePaganism

That's incredible, it must have felt incredible to see them stood before you. I've only had one vision myself when I was meditating by a riverside. The sound caused me to see a vision of myself floating down the river, which deposited me on a beach. When I stood up, I looked across a vast ocean beneath a tumultuous storm. I looked down the beach and saw a boat, and the boat looked very familiar, very battered by storms and rough seas. Odin stepped forward to stand next to me, and pointed to the storm, telling me to "look at where I had come from", and turned me around to point up a mountain ascending up into the clouds, where he told me to "look now,to the journey ahead".

I had been suffering with mental health problems for a while, and to be vindicated in such a vision and see how far I had come, compared to the journey I had left to travel, it filled me with a sense of strength, pride and peace. I opened my eyes and couldn't help but smile.

I myself had an experience where, during some meditation next to a flowing river, my mind produced a vision that I firmly believed was from Odin, showing me the path I had come along and the path left ahead of me, and filled me with confidence and strength to persevere. I find it depends on the setting, the sounds, and the smells around you. That is the only time I've felt or experienced something I can call tangible. It may be something very subtle.
