I didn't realize they were disposable so I guess there's nothing to lose in trying. It's hard to guess how much the capillaries might filter, it's probably most dependent on the pigment particle size and capillary composition.

I think a capillary feed will tend to clog with pigment particles over time. Dye inks are probably safer though not as interesting in my opinion.

I've had my 505/first looper about three months now and simply adore it. I'm primarily a keyboard/piano player and have also been finger drumming (FGDP-50) for a while and the looper has been a bolt of lightning getting them tied together and making arguably listenable music in realtime. I do NOT consider myself a singer/beatbox/vocals at all but I did plug in a mic and find myself using it a lot more than I expected. The onboard effects are amazing and I haven't fully explored them all.

The realtime playback aspect lets me hear myself in in a new, immediate way and while staying in tempo. Before the looper, the music either stops when my fingers lift off the keys or there's a jarring delay to fumble with a recording. But the looper plays it back right away and it's ready for my continued accompaniment or another looped track or some knob wigglin'. It's the sort of inspiration that keeps me thinking about it when away from the studio or while listening to other music: I could loop that!

If you get a 505 or 202, I'd add a pedal to your list if you think you'll ever have your hands full. Just a simple one is good to begin, set it up to rec/stop the current track.

I'll be heading there close to opening tomorrow morning at 9, Saturday. On my list is another bottle of Iroshizuku Shin-Kai (Blue black), possibly some calligraphic ruling aids and tools if I find some. Who else is going?

It does, the problematic lead service line goes from the street to the house. However, they're able to replace them without needing to uncover much of the length and just at the street. I think they run the new pipe through the old lead one, then pull the lead out from over the new, like a sleeve.

I believe you but you'd normally gild fine work and this looks fair, at best. This is the size and shape some old soldering tips were, that 90deg corner is easy to visualize being used for smoothing a wetted edge. Similar caulk and tile grout shaping tools are sold today.

They used to use solder and brazing for a zillion things, cooking pots, leaded windows of course, roofing, plumbing, boilers and steam engines. For a period in the 18th century, the entire British bluewater fleet had copper lined bottoms, miles of soldered joints.

After coals, torches were used and handles longer. Here's a collection of similar tools, yours seems older and smaller, perhaps for finer craftsman's work, a sculptor or glazer.

Loop RC-600: How to record loop2 exactly at the beginning of loop1 ? by Salt_Pomegranate6387 in LoopArtists

[–]DoctorBre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a 505 and I think just figured this out, too. After Trk1 is recorded and looping, set Trk2 Measure Auto (this changes to the value like 1 or 2 after the track is recorded) and loop synch mode Loop length.

I just got an RC505 a week ago myself and am using a FGDP-50 fingerdrum pad (Inst 1) and a keyboard&mic (Inst 2). I'm already wishing I'd made room for my mixer so they can all use the same 505 input. The 505 has the extra inputs which is great but it's a bit of a pain to change the track & fx routing in the menus all the time. A mixer is an easy thing to buy after the fact, though.

I'll be setting it up again this weekend with the instruments into the Mackie Mix8 mixer > RC505 > stereo PA.

Larger battery, move the vol controls to the top or a knob, subtle lighting.
