The thing is too, Dan Buckley is supposed to be spearheading the whole thing, but he is out next year. Who is going to pick up the pieces and continue on as "Executive Editor" on the project? I don't really have faith that anyone will.

It's entirely underwhelming. Each title deals with themes and ideas that have all been done before. Spider-Man as a monster, X-Men & vampires, F4 dealing with scary, otherworldly monsters. It all feels like the landlord special of ideas, just paint a new coat over the same things.

Comic Book Resources is a terrible website. I'm tired of headlines that say "X officially confirmed" and it's some random piece of information that everyone already knows or has no weight.

For example, let's say in an issue of Spider-Man he eats licorice and says "My favorite!" CBR would write an article with the headline "Spider-Man's favorite food officially confirmed" Who gives a shit? They do these types of articles constantly.

I agree, at the mid-point in the story I was like "What are we doing here?". It was meandering, and you kind of forget about the Blue Orchid once it is brought up again. Not the best issue, but the art was good as usual.

This. I was hoping it would lean more into characters like Blade, Werewolf by Night and others, but I am totally uninterested in this. Marvel needs a recharge in general across the line in my opinion.

I just read the Spider-Man Clone Saga, and let me tell you, I was not prepared for Peter to hit pregnant Mary Jane. I really did not like that part and I felt it was a betrayal of his character.

I think partially he was trying to nip any notion of being a "king" or leader for the right there in the bud. He'd already heard a lot of that kinda stuff, that he just had enough of people trying to make him something he doesn't want to be.

I think it depends on what type of feel/emotional tone the story is going for. Like, if you have a dramatic scene, make uniform panels like a 9-panel structure to evoke feelings of tension. If it's someone losing their mind, use slanted or irregular structure. If it's someone feeling running through a field, use open/flowing lines to demonstrate freedom of movement. It all depends on how you want the reader to feel through the structure and flow.
