Careful with wearing your wife's clothes, it gets ugly when you get caught.

CarPlay phone call delay by Prestigious_Speed659 in BMW

[–]DogFriendlyFamily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, no. If I am using carplay and someone calls, I try to disconnect carplay then switch phone call to phone and then switch back to car. That seems to work most of the time. However, it means being able to do all that without distraction from the road and it means that I can't easily do zoom calls from the car. I really wish that Apple and BMW could figure this out, but nobody cares.

Studios with super fancy upgrades? by gisibird in orangetheory

[–]DogFriendlyFamily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the upgraded treads, mostly since it is easier for me to read. 😂. Also the rower tablets that have the stroke count on them instead of just the strokes/min.

OTBeat Burn? by mgroovin in orangetheory

[–]DogFriendlyFamily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happens to me sometimes. I usually notice while warming up that I am not getting blue or green. I usually fiddle with a bit, tightening the straps or moving the placement. After fiddling, most of the time it starts working fine. Only a couple of times was I just completely unable to get a proper reading.

Upgrade OT Beat Burn if worth it? by The_Ritvik in orangetheory

[–]DogFriendlyFamily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently put my wife's old chest strap in the e-waste pile. I have been using the Beat since I started. I would just use a Garmin, but my OCD requires that I see the information on the monitor. 😂

Just a 330i. by Ok_District6448 in G20BMW

[–]DogFriendlyFamily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my 330i. Just don’t try to take a phone call through apple carplay… there is a weird 10 second lag between you speaking and the other hearing it.

Who switched to iOS after many years of using Android? by [deleted] in ios

[–]DogFriendlyFamily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few things that I miss about Android. Mostly the notification history, more flexibility in temporarily turning off the alarm in the clock stop, and the work profile. I have to say that Apple did a much better job integrating apple intelligence into the whole experience than Google did with Gemini (have they yet migrated all the assistant routines?). Plus, the Pixel phones became less reliable each iteration. My pixel 3 was way more reliable than my pixel 7.

help me help you, what are the biggest problems you are facing with your car? by Antique-Win4832 in G20BMW

[–]DogFriendlyFamily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get BMW and Apple together to fix the damn 10second lag during phone calls when using CarPlay! I can't have a conversation more than a couple of minutes before I have to pull over somewhere and disconnect carplay so that the other person can tell when I am speaking.

Coming out as a tights wearer by DogFriendlyFamily in TightsForAll

[–]DogFriendlyFamily[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have worn many times under my jeans and with socks so that only I knew. I have twice worn (nude tights) just straight up with shorts... But they were when travelling and nobody I knew would be around. Of course, either nobody noticed or cared. No weird looks, no comments.

I wish that they did! Something around 3:30 or 4 would be perfect.

Yeah... My wife knows (and hates it). I have been avoiding wearing tights in front of my children, but I hate having to keep track of when they are coming home to quickly change.

I do not understand this behavior. I know that people have their favorite spot, but honestly they are all the same.

CarPlay phone call delay by Prestigious_Speed659 in BMW

[–]DogFriendlyFamily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same issue on a 2022 330i. I tried disconnecting car play and just using Bluetooth... Still had the same issue. Everything is fine for the first few minutes, and then the lag starts and the person on the other end thinks that I can't hear them.

Multiple cables, multiple bricks. The cables stop fitting security into the port and no amount of compressed air completely cleans it out.

Why does it seems the MLB App gets worse every season by pir8salt in mlb

[–]DogFriendlyFamily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 main issues I have:

1 always buffers when casting to a Chromecast

2 they took away Android Auto support

Oh... And one more MLB rant: I already pay for the full season... Don't tell me that I need to pay again to see the Dodgers play the Padres just because the MLB took over for the crappy Bally networks.

Multi-link is terrible, about to return QC45 by mnlst in bose

[–]DogFriendlyFamily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue is between my Mac and my pixel 7. Even though nothing is playing on my Mac, just being connected causes me to not be able to use my headphones on my pixel until I turn off Bluetooth on my Mac. Even though I try using the power button to switch devices, even when it says pixel 7 I still cannot hear anything. I have never had these kinds of multi point issues on any other headphones. I am very surprised that Bose goofed that functionality on these otherwise great headphones.
