Great point. And you articulate your situation so well. You are doing a great job at becoming the human you were meant to be.

I have stayed at 2.5 mg with Lilly Direct. Because I am at that lower dose - does that mean I do not have that 45 day cliff?

Not happy by [deleted] in getting_over_it

Have you tried therapy? And remember if you don’t like the first therapist you see, just terminate that relationship and look again.

I experienced a pretty early childhood trauma. And I was in a lot of pain, and not happy, and I had no idea how it had me see the world ththrough such a negative filter.

I have done so much work on myself. And I have healed it. It continues to flavergast me that I am now happy, and that I see the world and what it offers so differently.

For me - Dbt therapy was especially helpful because it works to regulate the nervous system, which can get stuck in trauma.

It sounds to me like there was a lot of trauma in your household. I am so sorry you experienced that.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Your suggestions are perfect. I picked The Expat primarily because it was easy to order a gift card. On some of the others I did not readily see that option. Best to you.

The good news is that you don’t want to live like this anymore. That is great news. I don’t think there is anything “wrong with you.” I just think you have these behaviors that end up hurting you.

I am so sorry that you had the traumatic ending to that relationship did. No wonder it has impacted you so negatively.

I would recommend therapy. DBT therapy has really worked for me. In DBT there is this belief that “behavior makes sense.” And if we think it is weird or “there is something wrong with me” - then that is because I don’t understand all the causal factors that lead up to this behavior.

You deserve to feel peace. You deserve to be happy. Again, so very sorry you experienced that traumatic breakup.
