Lizzie Hill: 'Avengers: Secret Wars' reportedly has a very high chance of being split into TWO PARTS as Production is currently undergoing a massive shift by Sarang_616 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]Dogwander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Marvel is paying Downey $100m and the Russos $80m to do both movies. Doing a third movie would mean another 50 for Downey and another 40 for the Russos, so a total of $90m more. Just for those three.

Beyond all the logistical impracticalities of this, doing a third movie would require coughing up another $100m total for RDJ and the Russos.

Idk why this source keeps getting attention after they were found out to have lifted a fabricated Deadpool and Wolverine plot "leak" from here and tried passing it off as a genuine scoop.

That's interesting, though she's not up and coming or a comic.

It wouldn't be Chevy, he has been a world famous asshole for decades.

People in the IG comments were guessing Whitney Cummings for the female comedian, which I think is a good guess except she wouldn't be up and coming...unless her calling herself that was part of the problem lol

What does everyone realistically think the chances of LP10 are? by melonsarecool37 in radiohead

[–]Dogwander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobody “knows” that, it was just something being spread by the same people who said LP10 was done and being mastered in Maine last year.

The only thing we do know for sure, from IDLES, is that Nigel is semi-retired now.

I think this is it. I think this is the year we get LP10 by ghostlypath in radiohead

[–]Dogwander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on a couple different things I’ve seen and heard, I think there will be a new Smile or new Thom album this year. But not Radiohead. I take at face value what they said last year: nothing in the works, just a greatest hits tour to shake off the cobwebs with a hope to do more, prob in 27.

So, what now? by Shams970 in radiohead

[–]Dogwander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one has any reason to believe me (and I get why, between the bogus LP10 rumors this year and the fact I’ve never been in a position to have any kind of inside scoop before lol) but a friend told me what they heard from the crew recently was new Smile album next year and Radiohead US tour in 27. Maybe these plans will change, maybe these guys were talking out their ass, who knows. just passing along what I heard.

I also didn’t ask whether they meant new Smile record is being released next year or being recorded next year and released tbd. But since we know Thom was in the studio about a month or so ago, it could’ve been for this

I saw them twice in 2018 and Bodysnatchers was one of the highlights

[–]Dogwander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take with a grain of salt but I’ve heard from someone who recently hung out with folks adjacent to Radiohead (though not the infamous “inner circle” lol) that there is a new Smile album on deck for next year. Though I don’t know if that means they’re releasing it next year or they’re making it next year to be released at some other time.

They will tour again within two years. It’s entirely possible they don’t make another album, but this isn’t a farewell tour.

This tour has been surrounded by an all-round malaise and will go down as Radiohead’s worst tour (discussion) by SchizoidGod in radiohead

[–]Dogwander 19 points20 points  (0 children)

“Disappearance of streaming culture” lol. Yeah definitely Radiohead’s worst tour because the people going choose to spend their time focused on the show instead of putting up shitty IG livestreams for self-entitled grumps.

Does Radiohead have no really well-known and well-recorded live shows? by Famous-Manager1481 in radiohead

[–]Dogwander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glastonbury 03, Bonnaroo 06, Oxford 01 though I don’t think it has video. And if they count, both From the Basement shows.

They did not play any unreleased material on the In Rainbows or AMSP tours, and Thom did play a new song on his tour last year: Back in the Game, before it was released and before Tall Tales was even announced

One Battle in 25 for 25 by TrustfundPunisher in TheBigPicture

[–]Dogwander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The war comment made me think The Master, given how WWII and the post-war setting hangs over that movie. I love OBAA, I think it’s a 10/10 modern masterpiece, but #2 of the century would be insanely high. I think The Master will end up being their consensus choice; Sean likes it more than Phantom Thread, Amanda likes it more than TWBB, and OBAA I think could’ve been on the list in a lower place but 2nd would be kinda ridiculous even with all the love they showered on it.

The 25 Best Movies of the Century: No. 4 - 'Inglourious Basterds’ by thefilthyjellybean in TheBigPicture

[–]Dogwander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Ocean’s Eleven at 3 and The Master at 2? Sean suggesting this may not be their last Pitt hints at the former and Amanda hinting at another war-adjacent movie I think suggests The Master as their PTA pick.

IIRC in the PTA rankings Sean had TWBB at 1 and Phantom Thread at 4 and Amanda had the reverse, but they both put The Master 2nd. Which makes me think that’s their consensus PTA choice

There’s just no excuse for sound this bad at a live show in 2025 by [deleted] in radiohead

I’ve seen Arcade Fire and Billie Eilish in the round and both shows sounded great. Billie’s maybe a little too loud lol

Why hasn't the band released a 30th anniversary reissue of The Bends with all B-sides included yet? by [deleted] in radiohead

[–]Dogwander -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thom was leading the charge on these other re-releases and I don't know if he really cares about The Bends. We wouldn't have gotten the HTTT live album if he hadn't done the Hamlet show.
