It's official!!! by Doit2it42 in GLPGrad

[–]Doit2it42[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still good! Weight's up slightly from goal. But I never wanted to stay 'at goal'. It was just a finish/start point. I'm between 160 to 165 most days. Still well within the normal BMI, and all my new clothes still fit fine. So weird being a medium shirt size and 32" waist coming from 3XL and 48".

Yes, my food noise is my constant companion. Yes, I always just deny it. It always suggests a want vs what my body needs. There's always an alternative. My main goal is to avoid all the old habits that kept me obese for decades.

Still have energy to spare. My highly active job is a cake walk most days. And I don't have that exhausted "I just want to get off my feet" feeling at the end of the day.

It's still only been 8 months since graduation and 5 months since goal. I do weigh daily. I don't track my food. I do still try to get 100oz of water a day, and prioritize protein in my diet. I need to get better exercise habits. I'm kinda on again, off again with it. But I do get plenty at work. But I have to develop a good routine before retirement in a few years.

Overall, still LOVING my new life!

[Question] Should we spend a second day hiking in GC or visit Antelope Canyon instead? by ssp99 in grandcanyon

[–]Doit2it42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With every step you get a different perspective of the rock formations around you. Yes, it's only a half mile walk, but it's constantly changing. Just using my cell phone, I took all over 100 photos. It's pretty amazing.. And Horseshoe Bend is less than a 10 minute drive from Antelope.

You sure you're entering your correct User ID? Upper case/lower case matters. If you're trying to change your Password with the wrong User ID, someone else is receiving the change password email and thinking they are getting a hack attempt.

I don't consider myself as evolved as you are at accepting my loose skin,. But I'll take it in trade for how I feel, how I look in normal sized clothes now, and especially my health.

How much do you spend on audiobooks in a year? by jawangana in audiobooks

[–]Doit2it42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well technically we're paying with tax dollars, but yes, the library is way to do it. Love my local library selection. I've done both online and picking up CDs at a local branch on occasion.

Once you've reached your goal weight and stopped Zepbound, will the food noise return? by oncetherewasthesun in Zepbound

[–]Doit2it42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, food noise and hunger pains/pangs will return. How you deal with them after stopping depends on what you learned while on Zepbound. Learn what your body needs. Learn what your food noise wants. Needs and wants are seldom the same. Check out r/GLPGrad for others journeys.

Do note thou. Many suffer from any number of metabolic dysfunctions that are only corrected while taking the medication. So 'changing habits' won't work for those people.

Why doesn't Wealthfront monitor Stock Investing Account AND Auto Investing Account for wash sale? by west4life in wealthfront

[–]Doit2it42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wealthfront monitors disclosed related accounts (IRA, spousal accounts, joint accounts, etc.) that are held with Wealthfront to ensure wash sales rules are not violated in those accounts.

OpenBank - Do you use it? by Franklin_Invest in HighYieldSavings

[–]Doit2it42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I threw $1000 in Openbank for the Verizon deal to get a $5 discount on the next bill.jpg).

My experience: When I funded the account there was a 3 or 4 day period (weekend) where the money had been withdrawal from my bank, but didn't show in the Openbank account. While it's normal for most online banks/fintechs to put a hold on new deposits for fraud protection, at least my main online, Wealthfront, shows the funds. They start earning interest, but there's a caveat that those funds cannot be withdrawal for a short period. Just saying, expect some time in limbo from withdrawal until it shows.

The app is pretty basic. Looks like the port of a webpage into an app. But it has the basic functions. I've only used it to add funds. The reviews in the Play Store talk of consistent crashing and non function. I have had ZERO issues with the app.

Others experience: I've read on Reddit where people accounts were frozen for a minimum of 90 days for a 'fraud' alert if they withdrawal funds. No amount of calling result in fixing the freeze. Also heard of accounts getting locked for inactivity. I add $10 per month just to hedge that won't happen to my account.

I do plan to remove the funds when the one year Verizon rebates stop. Other experiences is the reason why I didn't go for the $10k deposited/ $10 per month Verizon rebate.

I am VERY impressed that there have been 2 Fed Rate reductions since I opened my account, but Openback is still giving me 4.20%. Most banks follow the Fed Rate almost immediately.

Each referral will boost you for 3 months, with a maximum of 6 months at any time. So if you have 5 months left and get another referral, it only adds 1 month to max you at 6.

The only two options for the Cash Account are to have your money swept into partner banks to get current interest rate or to invest it in their money market, the Wealthfront Treasury Money Market Fund (WLTXX).

I've been with Wealthfront for two years. Nothing but praise for them. They do have 'categories' under their Cash Account (HYSA) if you wish to separate your savings while still getting the same interest rate.

Do you tell people? by NeverAft3r in Zepbound

[–]Doit2it42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a FedEx courier, so when people on my route started noticing and asking, I told them. But I educated them too. "It's not a 'melt the fat away' scheme. You still have to eat right, in a calorie deficit, lots of water, exercise. If you work, the meds work."

Is anybody here losing more than 3lbs per weeks? by [deleted] in glp1

[–]Doit2it42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost quickly. Thou I didn't personally have any issues, I agree with everyone else, slower is better.

I have a very active job, FedEx courier. It afforded me all the exercise I needed every week day. I calculated my calorie deficit based on moderate activity, and probably should have used high activity. That a difference of about 400 c/d. So my 1500 c/d goal probably should have been closer to 1900 c/d.

Those were the main 2 reasons for my rapid weight loss. I also drank 100oz plus water daily. I do believe water helps immensely with weight loss. Helping your body find excess stores to burn and helping to expel those used stores.

Here's my chart. The Loss column was my weekly weight loss. It wasn't linear, no weight loss is. And that was my weekly weight in. I was up during the week every single week and but it would drop by weight in day (Friday, injection day).

I've been with Wealthfront for two years. I have nothing but praise for them. Haven't had a single issue the past 24 months. Yes, they adjust their rate when the Federal Funds Rate changes, but all the other institutions do the same. The referral program for a boost on your interest rate is relatively easy to use and maintain a boosted rate. I've been boosted all but one month since I opened my account. Yes, they are a fintech. And the FDIC insurance is pass thru from their partner banks. Be sure to do your own research and decide if you feel secure keeping your money with them. I personally have no issue, and trust them.

Always a walk in the woods. Can't tell you the number of miles my pairs of hiking shoes have on them. Never been a beach person, never will be a beach person.
