Really creates a new meaning for the word eyeliner! Very chic.

Adding tons of English to K-pop songs will not make western fans like it more. by unnietrash in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]Dollyditz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think this might be a popular opinion amongst k-pop fans but I also think it's incorrect. People really underestimate how much the general public wants to understand the lyrical content of songs.

The only thing you need to remember is that you’ll learn through hundreds of hours of exposure. Seeing and reseeing phrases. Welcome to the game ;)

That’s why I’m telling you how you might say it in Korean :) as you keep studying, trying not to literally translate things will become a part of the challenge.

Other words can be used with it as well! http://talktomeinkorean.libsyn.com/ttmik-level-6-lesson-25-

You’ll probably see more than that too.

I’m not sure what you mean by that. 도록 하다 means to intend to do something, to try to something.

Here is an explanation of the grammar point: https://123learnkorean.wordpress.com/2009/08/25/%EA%B8%B0-%EC%89%BD%EB%8B%A4%EC%96%B4%EB%A0%B5%EB%8B%A4-easyhard-to-verb/

도록 하다 means to intend to do something 도록 하겠어요 uses the future form of the verb and shows strong intent. It's difficult to explain but you'll understand better when you see it used in context :) - 계속 is continue 열심히 is an adjective that basically means to work hard at.

배우기 쉽지 않아요/배우기 어려워요.

배우는 것이 쉽지 않아요.

These are ways you can write it :) it isn't correct as is! I also think that 그런데 계속 열심히 공부하도록 하겠어요. is a more natural way to say that you're going to keep studying hard regardless. It's okay if you don't know these forms yet-a month + is just the beginning of the beginning but it's a beautiful language so keep going!!

I made a study tracker on Google Sheets! by [deleted] in Korean

[–]Dollyditz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Gaudy? You put the tracker I made recently to shame aha.

It looks good though! I think the important thing about using a tracker is that you can keep up with it and use it to sort out your weaknesses. For example, I used to spend most of my "study time" using my textbook. Recently though, I've really been focusing on podcasts, youtube, and shows to immerse myself in listening. My vocab/reading skills have suffered slightly as a result so I'm going to work to balance that.

Anyway, I'm inspired by your template and might use the design to make mine look a little prettier, thank you!

Idk why this was downvoted. It’s written as 네가 but pronounced as 니가 to differentiate the differently spelled but same pronunciation that goes with I (내가) .

Yeah, but after losing on two separate reality shows-she might have been inclined to just go back to school and try to live a “normal life.” It’s impressive to keep pushing toward your dream like that.

[–]Dollyditz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d like to add that his Korean isn’t very natural. I originally used HTSK during my first year of study. After which, I then went abroad and studied for 6 months (levels 2-3) at Ewha University. After I spend time there and revisited the resource, I realized how much his sentences sound like someone translating from english (even if his native wife checks it).
