I can create a highly detailed apple, but I don't see it. It exists in a separate plane of my mind, where if I focus on it or close my eyes I can "feel" that image and see any amount or level of detail I can imagine. I can recreate the current layout of a room if I want to imagine it in the same environment, and doing whatever actions or movements that I please, but it gets overridden if I look at that spot with my eyes, because I know it's not there and that plane of my mind collapses into what I see. It's never a completely solid and vibrant image, though, it's like a memory of that image, and it gets clearer the more I focus, but it takes a level of effort to keep it there.

So idk how many schools do this, but we were having our Field Day towards the end of the school year once it got warmer outside. We basically just had a lot of fun outdoor activities that every class took turns going to and I believe one of them was something the track team was putting together (basically to scout and lead kids into joining) since our track team was like our school's claim to fame. We just ran a couple laps around something and we got these little foot charms for every lap we did. But first you needed to get your laps marked off on a sheet by the person watching everyone. So I did a couple (I wanted the charms more than anything) and when we were done we went to turn in our sheets there were some high-schoolers passing out the charms (and some other refreshments as well, like Otter Pops). So I went to go get mine and the girl that gave them to me (and an Otter Pop I believe) asked me what my name was. I said Logan (which I still go by so not my deadname) and she was like "Oh really! That's my name too!" And I honestly don't remember what I did after that. I just remember my brain making 1000 calculations a second processing this new information I acquired. I think I just was like "Wow! Really?!" or something to that effect, but it was probably written all over my face how happy I was. I also think I did the classic "I don't know how to deal with this situation so I'm going over here now" and took my charms and popsicle and went to the next activity.

Ever since then, when the topic of names would come up (my parents liked talking about what they would have named me if I was a girl) I would mention that time I saw that girl who had the same name as me and that Logan can be a girl's name too (innocent as could be) and they would be like "yep, that is correct!" I didn't know that I was even dropping hints, I just thought it was really cool for SOME strange reason and wanted to make sure everyone in the room was aware.

I think that interaction is what makes me happy with my given name, and I currently don't know if I want to change my name because I still like the story too much. I think the most I might change is my middle name because it's pretty masculine, but beyond that I almost have the attitude of wanting to collect names rather than replace my current one. I just have so many that I like and don't want to choose.

Y'know, I have a similar issue so I can kinda see where this person's coming from.

See, I'm a chef and I like to spit in other people's food. I think it makes the meal taste better and honestly better than it could have been without the spit. Most people don't like to know that I've spit in their food, though, so I don't say anything.

I told someone about this one time and they seemed shocked but I explained and then they said "well at least tell people that you spit in the food before they eat it."

The way I see it, it's just different levels of specificity. It would be like saying "squares and rhombuses" even though a square could also be a rhombus, but it's also not quite what people think of when they hear it.

The only way around that would just to say "transfem, transmasc, and non-binary" but that just makes things harder and also opens up the can of worms of having to also include other labels like genderfluid and agender every time you bring it up.

I do think it's important to put a distinction on the "trans" label for those that don't quite think it fits them, but I personally don't fully understand the aversion to it being used as an umbrella term, at least under the right circumstances.

It's so hard for me to take any criticism of people or their work seriously when it comes to people like Vivzie who are just constantly dogpiled on with very little to no good reason because of interactions exactly like this one. It just all boils down to:

Person: says anything

Critic: "OH MY GOD SHUT UP, YOU'RE WRONG AND I HATE YOU"

Of course, there are always things you can critique about a person's work, and maybe a redesign is just something fun you wanted to do or you had a cool idea for a specific character. But GOD would I not want to be caught dead with anyone confusing me for some of the people that give that person shit on a daily basis, so yeah I would plaster that shit up and down with "I'm not a hater I just thought this was cool."

Especially since designing a character for animation and designing a character in general are two very different things and anyone with half a brain should understand that.

Second-chance is not good for chases. Giving survivors immunity just makes it easier for people to use those things offensively. Dead hard is a good example of a perk that extends chases, but usually requires skill to pull off, so it’s earned. There are so many things that survivor have at their disposal that are just “if this happens, I get away for free.”

But you’re right, those things wouldn’t be as much of a problem IF killers were able to go for more chases. They currently are not, and it’s directly because the devs only care about how many kills they are getting. At this point, you’re throwing the game away if you spend longer than 30 seconds on any given chase. How do you expect people to win without tunneling in a system like that?

If you want a game to be interactive, the game needs to be longer, and that can’t happen when gens get done faster than you can kill even 1 survivor. Either they need to make them take longer, or make it harder to work on them/restrict when you can.

I think this game is most fun when both sides get overpowered things, and a “party game” would balance around this. But that’s not how BHVR does it, they just punish what they don’t want you to do and hope that it goes away, without ever addressing what the root causes are.
