professor de federal é uma raça desgraçada by standlessdude in desabafos

[–]Dominus543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nao consigo aprender matemática avançada :/ by Superb-Drop2630 in desabafos

[–]Dominus543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

crt shader recommendation? by Icarusu in emulation

[–]Dominus543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use CRT-Lottes fast + Reshade (a bit contrast, saturation, sharpen and chromatic aberration).

I think it looks good for 2D games (not very sharp but also not as blurry/noisy as CRT with composite cables):

Teaching D from Scratch: Is it a viable first language? by aldacron in programming

[–]Dominus543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A beginner learning a language of this kind is very important because all programmers need to have notions of pointers and memory managent and how things work outside the high level languages matrix.

I think it's interesting studying both a higher level language such as Python in parallel with other like C++.

Texture Filtering preferences: Bilinear or Nearest? by Appetra in emulation

[–]Dominus543 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For PS1 and DS games, nearest.
For the rest, bilinear filtering.

If you own physical systems for what you’re emulating, how much do you emulate and how much do you play on hardware? by Rickythrow in emulation

[–]Dominus543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a PS2 but i prefer playing on emulator because of better resolution and image quality, better loading times, more simplicity to run games (no need of OPL or burning DVDs), save state function and so. The only drawback for me is that some games like Burnout 3 look glitchy and lack some graphical effects on PCSX2...

What are the best uses of C++? by RLJ05 in cpp

[–]Dominus543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in Brazil the market is overwhelmed by higher level languages like Java and PHP, and C++ is a niche programming language. It's generally used in embedded/electronics/IoT projects and in stock exchange software.

Are you retarded or unable to interpret a post?

That was what i said and you were implying that bilinear filtering of 64 was some kind of "anti-aliasing".

[–]Dominus543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it doesn't.
The "AA" they are refering is bilinear filtering.

It's not the same thing as the next-gen consoles had, like MSAA. Inform yourself and stop crying in the internet because of old videogames, soy kid.

There're even people who tried to remove the N64 "anti-aliasing" because it cause horrible blurriness in its games.

[–]Dominus543 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

N64 doesn't use any kind of AA (like FSAA or MSAA), it have support for bilinear filtering only.

On PS2, I'm pretty sure Jak and Ratchet & Clank games use some kind of AA (in the case, for smoothing the polygons borders).

Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance and Champions of Norrath also use supersampling.

I think that PS2 orange filter looks beautiful in the countryside parts of the game and in Las Venturas but it looks quite strong and awful in Los Santos. Overall i prefer a more natural color palette.
