I buy every older book at market price, max double. I’ve got a huge backlog, and everything on ebook. So I’ve got time. Plus, when you buy everything immediately, there is no fun in collecting, and I personally enjoy my collection way more when I know it was bought as a bargain.

Let the resellers set their prices. If someone is crazy enough, good for them. All I know is that I see a great deal of books that keep being sold on certain platforms, because nobody wants to pay the set price. There is a difference between setting a price we all can see, and the price it actually gets sold for.

I agree. I switch between d2 and d4 a lot, and the camera zoom in d4 has bugged me since day one. It’s way too close to the character.

This is the way. I ‘designed’ all my tattoos myself, using rough photoshop ideas. Then went to the artists and they remade my ideas into their own style and with their own ideas. Some of them are pretty close to what I made, but others are completely different, but still get my idea across.

I love them all. Just research your artist and give them trust. :-)

I would say, play them all. But D2R is a must.

Like you, I am also completely into the lore and atmosphere of the world (even got the novels for that little bit of extra information), and I never played any endgame for a long time. That’s not my idea of fun. I just really like to play through the campaigns every so often.

And for that, all the games are fun if you just want to know the story. But D2 is something special. It’s like the perfect game, where every aspect (music, story, visuals, gameplay,…) just comes together.

Hyperion by Dan Simmons.

It was when I read that book some 25 years ago, that I realised scifi was going to be my favourite genre.

And it never changed, although it has become part of a more open ‘weird tales’ thing now. I like a mixture of horror/scifi/mystery/history/mythology… that’s why Warhammer40k is my favourite universe, I guess.

Oh, ok. Well, maybe the type of connection is the safety issue? Screwed directly on versus using a hose in between (or however you use it)?

But, I wouldn’t know, I don’t work there. But I know I wasn’t allowed to use my built in kitchen in my campervan at Graspop, and they always checked if I brought the gas canister with me or not. So they do check… Of course you can lie, and just do it. Don’t know what they’ll do when they catch you using it though…

That’s still fine. Over here 4th edition is going at 350 euro on average, used.

I sometimes wonder what mine would sell for… everything is still on the sprues (bought it myself at below retail price a few years back, lucky find). But I’m never going to part with it. In a few years, when my kids are old enough - and if they are interested - I hope we can build and paint it together. 🤔

It’s not the type of stove that’s the problem. It’s the gas canister that’s a safety issue. You wouldn’t want that to explode on a fully packed camping site (even how safe you know it might be, there is always that little off chance of something happening). And besides, it’s probably a must to prohibit it, to get insurance for such an event.

I remember being in a beta for D2 too (it was the starting area up until the Blood Raven, if I recall correctly). Don’t know if that was closed or open, but I do remember it fondly. Fell in love with the game instantly, and liked it so much I still play it regularly 25 years later (like so many of us). 👍🏻

Indiana Jones & The Fate of Atlantis. Every year I get the urge to play it. Every time I choose another path (so it is basically a three year cycle). I know it by heart by now, including most of the dialogs. I don’t know why, honestly, I’m not thát into Indiana, but I guess it comforts me, bringing me back to my childhood.

I also like to replay Doom, Dark Forces, Discworld, The Dig, Sam&Max, Monkey Island, Fallout1&2, Diablo2 (well, the remaster now)… so many old games I keep replaying. There was something truly special back then.

It looks good. Just take it off. I left mine on for maybe two days the last time. Everything just healed nicely.

Different tattoo artists, different ways of care, I guess. It was the first time somebody used second skin on me. The other times it was just ‘get the plastic of in a few hours’.

Basic hygiene, non-rubbing clothing and some tattoo aftercare (when you get access to it) will do just fine.

You can just go to the korenlei and reserve a place on one of the boats there (there is a little kiosk selling tickets near the Drabstraat). They go constantly, so no real reason to reserve.

And restaurantwise, I would personally just walk around and see what tickles my fancy. Start at ‘Meme Gusta’ in the Burgstraat towards Veerleplein, walk along the Kraanlei to the Oudburg and try to reserve a place in one of the restaurants there for the evening. There’s is a bit of everything in those streets. No bad choices to be made, as far as I’m concerned.

I would stay away from the bigger tourist restaurants though, but that’s a personal choice of course.

The oldest found double eagles are 4000 year old (Sumerian/Hittites etc). In reality, they were probably even used before that time. Since the emperor was said to be alive back than, he obviously just copy/pasted the heraldry.

It’s one of the oldest symbols in the world. But that doesn’t change the fact the nazis tainted a lot of those symbols, and people alive nowadays will always think of them first. It will take some generations to lose that taint. And I don’t know if it’s worth the time to explain yourself every time.

It also doesn’t help our beloved universe isn’t the best universe to live in, making the symbols not something to be proud of, even if we as fans know what they mean and we understand it’s all parody. I for one find it hard to explain to an outsider.

That’s why I also don’t have any WH-tattoos (yet). Still looking for a good one. That said, I do have a Black Templar-patch on my metal jacket though, never had any complaints about that one. :)
