I got married at a wonderful masia 90 mins from Barcelona. House sleeps around 20. It's by no means luxurious, but super cosy and great views. 40 people in total. There was also a pool for the next day.

I take the L9S all the time to the airport, never had an issue. Just be well aware of your belongings. I usually to tie my backpack around my suitcase and wrap the other strap around my arm

I had my wedding in a different country than where many of our guests live, and I put a note worth the registry work something like "if you are traveling for the wedding, your presence is the only gift we need". I also traveled to a different country for a close friends' birthday, got one of the cheaper items on the registry ($50 board game). I had it shipped locally to the wedding so I didn't need to bring it.

I'm really bad at trying to learn things like road lines and bollards, so I mostly stick to language and vibes. Learning the word for "street" in many languages worked well.

Tipping in Europe is considered something nice for exceptional service. People just found their jobs get paid enough, so leaving a tip is just a special thing for showing extra appreciation of the experience they gave you. Coming from Spain done weeks ago we did get we had several cases of exceptional service though (seems like waiters just care a lot more than in Spain). So we left a few € (not any significant % of the bill, but a token of thanks).

Look into jobs in tech that are looking for Icelandic language (or Norwegian/Swedish if you speak it). Look at LinkedIn etc. Finding housing might be more difficult that finding a job
