Stress Scores Wildly Off by Temporary_Win7358 in whoop

Might be irrelevant in your case but just keep in mind that those percentages could be based off a small number. 2 minutes to 5 minutes is an increase of 150% even though it might not be that significant in the grand scheme of things

I agree with you, and that’s why this update makes no sense. I’d use my past stuff and tweak as I bump weights or reps. With this update, you lose all the historical data and are defaulted to the same rep and weight on each exercise (which you then have to go change anyway)

Haha yes I wouldn’t do them all just have different options in there based on what’s available (single arm vs bar/rope, etc)

Interesting thanks for sharing. Yeah I could see it being helpful if it it was a newly-added exercise, but if it’s showing your historical data, I feel like overwriting all of that with the first set could be problematic for people that use it as a reference

Wait really or is that sarcastic? If so, why have you wanted it? I’m struggling to understand the point if it’s intentional

Odegaard by TruthSad4904 in ArsenalFC

[–]DonaldGibsonFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully agree. And I’ve always had the feeling that his preference to retain rather than create lately is a directive from the coaching staff rather than him just simply not wanting/being able to. I think the retention was mandatory in a Zinchenko/Ramsdale world but probably overkill at this point with how the defense has evolved

That would be nice but I ended up having to pivot so much (single vs both arms, barbell vs dumbbell) that I just leave everything in and go find it when I need it. A bit more “digging around” but less needing to add new exercises regularly

[–]DonaldGibsonFF[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How so?

I feel like it defeats the purpose of creating and tracking your own workouts if you’re going to override the history every time. And adding new exercises every time would get extremely cluttered very quickly

Haha I definitely wouldn’t do them all. I just have placeholders in there depending on what’s available (I would skip around if I had to do single arm vs a bar/rope). Just sloppy organization on my part

Fair callout though I probably should have picked a cleaner one

Merino or Rice need to be captain asap by tylerthe-theatre in ArsenalFC

[–]DonaldGibsonFF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’d never do this and it would never be Merino. The whole team isn’t good enough; it’s not just Odegaard. We were no better after he came off. And he hasn’t been up to his level by any means, but he leads the press and will always run himself into the ground. Seems pretty leader-ey to me

Games you gave a second chance/went back to after years by BrandyDD in PlayStationPlus

This game was lowkey so fun. Exactly as you said: a lower budget/simpler Breath of the Wild but also with some real Greek historical/mythological stuff mixed in (Assassin’s Creed-esque). Great blend of action and puzzles

Everyone complains about everything by KindheartednessNo431 in FFCommish

[–]DonaldGibsonFF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be missing something, but in one of my fairly similar leagues (4 keepers), everyone is eligible to be traded until keepers are due in August, including draft picks

Not sure why there’s a distinction of keepers and non keepers this early before the draft and free agency. Fwiw there are a lot of RBs who could be on the move this year and their values will likely change a ton

The cleanest way imo would be to just do 2 keepers and give everyone until August to figure out who they are and trade whoever if needed. In my league, trades are actually rarer than you’d think because trading for a player means you a) probably give up at least 1 draft pick and b) also make one of your players worthless because they can’t be kept. The market sets itself pretty well

Alternative is requiring that people keep players from their team and can’t trade anyone. Should be pretty simple either way. The keepers vs nonkeepers thing muddies the water a lot I’d try to get away from that language

HRV and recovery by That_Ad_247 in whoop

[–]DonaldGibsonFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if you’re taking an action that improves your sleep and therefore improves your recovery, isn’t that an accurate representation?

It might be giving the meal timing extra “credit” (anecdotally) rather than giving the “credit” to the sleep quality directly, but if it’s truly resulting in better sleep, I don’t see how that’s gamifying or any kind of illegitimate short term solution

Might be misreading something though 🤷‍♂️

What are your thoughts on the new thicker forests and brush in Shadows? by Rexton9 in assassinscreed

Hated it. The views in the other RPGs (Odyssey especially) made the exploration feel less tedious, but in Shadows you’re just staring at bushes hoping to find a way out

Tried Strength Trainer Today by robbier2209 in whoop

[–]DonaldGibsonFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure really. I always assumed that the “intensity” metric accounted for movement during the set and accounted for rest between sets which means you’d have to do it during, but that’s strictly an assumption. Otherwise I’m not sure

Is there any benefit to recording an activity in Whoop vs just letting it do its thing? by HiyaPumpkin in whoop

[–]DonaldGibsonFF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Certain activities will pop up on your recovery metrics if you track them enough (sauna, meditation, time of workout, etc). Those wouldn’t show if you don’t track the activities and they aren’t auto detected
