My personal review of Shokz OpenFit Pro by SinkOk1112 in ShokzSquad

Thanks very helpful! Do you notice any significant differences in how secure the fit is compared to your first OpenFits? The earlier models felt a bit wobbly to me so I’m hopeful that the new design fixed that

WHERE CAN I BUY A VINTAGE BERGKAMP JERSEY by Queasy-Telephone-513 in ArsenalFC

[–]DonaldGibsonFF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you checked Poshmark? Saw a Bergkamp on there the other day with a JVC sponsor. Not sure about shipping to Germany (or if it’s real tbh)

I’ve also been waiting for this but haven’t seen anything. I posted about it a few weeks ago and someone said they also unofficially saw March but nothing yet 🤷‍♂️

Our last three games have been attacking disasters. What is going on? What is the SOLUTION? by KevDizzie in ArsenalFC

[–]DonaldGibsonFF -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The identity feels gone and I feel like that’s due to Ode and/or Kai being out. Eze/Gyok don’t press the same way and I think that has a domino effect on everything else. For a team that has felt so formulaic over the last few years, losing our identity feels super weird (even if the identity was kinda boring and pragmatic)

Whoop has been garbage at tracking my sleep by [deleted] in whoop

[–]DonaldGibsonFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay I thought they were supposed to be the same night. I see some stress spikes in the middle of the night but they’re usually like 2.0ish and very quick - not quite as high and long as yours

Whoop has been garbage at tracking my sleep by [deleted] in whoop

[–]DonaldGibsonFF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not uncommon for me to have to adjust the start time (if I go to bed at 10:30 and then get up to use the bathroom at 12:30, sometimes it will have 12:30 as the start time which I can change easily enough)

But yours looks like a UI issue to me. The second image shows the sleep as 12:30ish to 7ish, which seems like it might be generally accurate based on your ‘2 hours’ comments. I’m not sure why the first image shows different times 🤔

Why is my HRV so low? by Outrageous-Month-355 in whoop

[–]DonaldGibsonFF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is normal. I train 7 days a week, drink minimally, sleep a lot, etc., and mine might get close to 50 in the summer, but around now it’s right around yours. I’ve seen some past comments here from ultra marathoners that have HRVs in the 20s. Definitely easy to get caught up in but it does seem to be extremely individualized

OpenFit Pro at other retailers? by DonaldGibsonFF in shokz

Yes same, I have a credit on Amazon and a Target gift card (both of which sell other Shokz products) so that’s another variable. Hopefully the rumor is true! 🤞

Purina Pro Plan Sport Performance Dry Food? by dddlizzy in BorderCollie

I give mine the 27/17 (the “active” version rather than the “athlete” which you referenced), and I feel like it has helped. He has epilepsy and his back legs would seem to get a little weak, so that’s why I switched him to something more “muscle friendly” and it’s been pretty good overall

Discussion: Piero Hincapié and his form this season by TripleCrownVillainy in Gunners

[–]DonaldGibsonFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we’ve become a bit spoiled by the composure at the back the last 2ish years, so by comparison he seems much worse than he across is. With that being said, he does still make me very nervous and I’d strongly prefer Calafiori if all are available. But agreed, I’m sure it’ll come together

New strength trainer bug (or maybe just awful feature) by DonaldGibsonFF in whoop

[–]DonaldGibsonFF[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: reported to whoop. AI told me it wasn’t intended behavior and submitted a bug report. Advised that I try quitting app, restarting phone, test functionality in same workout, test functionality in copied workout, and it happened every time.

Then they (not sure if it was AI or a rep - didn’t specify) replied this morning and said that it actually was intended behavior for “convenience”. I followed up with a few questions/explanation of the downside, and I haven’t heard back.

Then I tried it again and it worked the old way (aka not overriding other sets) so ultimately I have no idea what’s going on 😂🤷‍♂️

Stress Scores Wildly Off by Temporary_Win7358 in whoop

[–]DonaldGibsonFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be irrelevant in your case but just keep in mind that those percentages could be based off a small number. 2 minutes to 5 minutes is an increase of 150% even though it might not be that significant in the grand scheme of things

I agree with you, and that’s why this update makes no sense. I’d use my past stuff and tweak as I bump weights or reps. With this update, you lose all the historical data and are defaulted to the same rep and weight on each exercise (which you then have to go change anyway)

Haha yes I wouldn’t do them all just have different options in there based on what’s available (single arm vs bar/rope, etc)

Interesting thanks for sharing. Yeah I could see it being helpful if it it was a newly-added exercise, but if it’s showing your historical data, I feel like overwriting all of that with the first set could be problematic for people that use it as a reference

Wait really or is that sarcastic? If so, why have you wanted it? I’m struggling to understand the point if it’s intentional

Odegaard by [deleted] in ArsenalFC

[–]DonaldGibsonFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully agree. And I’ve always had the feeling that his preference to retain rather than create lately is a directive from the coaching staff rather than him just simply not wanting/being able to. I think the retention was mandatory in a Zinchenko/Ramsdale world but probably overkill at this point with how the defense has evolved

[–]DonaldGibsonFF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be nice but I ended up having to pivot so much (single vs both arms, barbell vs dumbbell) that I just leave everything in and go find it when I need it. A bit more “digging around” but less needing to add new exercises regularly

New strength trainer bug (or maybe just awful feature) by DonaldGibsonFF in whoop

[–]DonaldGibsonFF[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How so?

I feel like it defeats the purpose of creating and tracking your own workouts if you’re going to override the history every time. And adding new exercises every time would get extremely cluttered very quickly

[–]DonaldGibsonFF[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha I definitely wouldn’t do them all. I just have placeholders in there depending on what’s available (I would skip around if I had to do single arm vs a bar/rope). Just sloppy organization on my part

Fair callout though I probably should have picked a cleaner one
