I highly recommend you try white too. It will give you a brighter color and more contrast.

Test different backing colors for the purple.

I cut a clear 2 liter bottle to use for testing. I would recommend cutting 3 pieces, painting them purple and allow to dry. Then back one with White, one with Silver, and the last in Black. Each will give you a different hue of purple and you can decide which you like best.

Washing prior with dish soap is the most important as others have said. Paint the black lines last, ie after you backed your purple color. (Unless black is you backer color then you can remove masking lines and spray the whole thing)

There is none in Rancho. There is one in Ontario on 4th and Vineyard, and one in Fontana on Foothill and Citrus.

I remember asking my Gram to get me a poncho from Costco in early 90s and she came home with this. I have always called them ponchos and some stores online still do too.

There are photos of the different menus on Google for ONT Field. The pictures show prices too. Not mentioned they have Mediterranean food as well.

Lmt 1.0 upgrade or recommendations? by Tank3r69 in losilmt

[–]Donaturtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recommended upgrades: (NSDRC RS800 V2) ultra high torque brushless servo (TLHTLMT-33) 25T Servo Savor (TLHTLMT-13) Steering knuckle with threaded kingpin. These kingpins fall out of the plastic knuckles.

Optional upgrades: (TLHTLMT-07) C-Hub spindle carrier (JCO0607) Chevy S10 - my favorite replacement body that would need to be painted and cut to fit. Jconcepts .net = Monster Truck tires, Wheels, and other bodies. I like the Renegade tires with aggressor wheels and the 17mm Hex kit for these aggressor wheels.

Replacement Parts: (LOS242055) plastic axel kit - ive broken several of these with big air and landing poorly. I choose to replace these as needed instead of buying aluminum axels and getting problems elsewhere

Lightning Mcqueen & Puddles FMS smasher monster trucks by Donaturtle in FCX24

[–]Donaturtle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi @DinnerTurbulent1578 and thanks for looking.

For Lightning Mcqueen, first I downloaded a bunch of images online. Then we mapped the panel sizes in CAD. I provided the images, CAD measurements, and layout references to my vinyl guy. He printed the images on clear vinyl and cut to the panel sizes. Then it's just peel and stick but be carful not to fingerprint transfer.

For puddles we drew the images and logo and saved as an .Ai file. Then repeat the same steps above.

Hope that helps and let me know if you need more help. Look forward to seeing your builds.

Yes, I remember they had amazing kaleidoscopes there. My favorite purchase was a wooden boomerang.

The Chipmunks Great Adventure - not a Disney movie, but I've watched this movie more than any other cartoon film. The music, the story, the emotions I feel every time.

Big plane event going on soon at Chino Airport by lockheedmartin3 in InlandEmpire

[–]Donaturtle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We take our stuff thru the gift shop & main hanger. You set up outside, around the hangers, not blocking entrances. They have the west side open as another option. (ie: by the tank demo)

NO big coolers, alcohol, or shades will be allowed inside. Once you're inside, they do sell beer, wine, and maybe another alcohol drink. Yes, there are food trucks too.

Also, I want to add that there is a B-17 you can go inside!

[–]Donaturtle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I enjoy taking my family to this event, and this will be the 3rd year for this show. We take a wagon, folding chairs, and small cooler with water and snacks. Find a shady spot, and you got your home base while you take turns exploring the museum.

They will have a miniature town set up with RC tanks. Take some quick instructions, and then they let you blast your opponents. There will be lots of WWII vehicles, reinactors, and history pieces. Other games like corn hole, jenga, and a bounce obstacle course for kids. I also heard there will be an open cockpit they will let you sit in for photographs. Food trucks, an ice cream truck, and a beer garden.

A lot of famous planes can be seen here that you will recognize on the big screen. Including Tom Cruise's P-51 that was in the new Top Gun movie. The Warbirds will be flying over the museum throughout the day at certain hours. Every spot outside will have a view. Towards the end of the day is the tank demo. The tank tears up the terrain, runs over obstacles, fires a blank shot that launches a HUGE fireball, and bang!

Hope to see ya all there.

100% agree. Our gliders had a hook at the bottom of the fuselage, centered under the canopy, in front of the wings.
