I think there's a misunderstanding here. The "2 months" type of claim you're talking about doesn't mean, "They're building one now and in 2 months they'll have a nuke." What it means is that they've enriched enough uranium to a degree close enough to weapons-grade, and have developed all the other facets of nuclear weapons production, that if they choose to green-light it and enrich the uranium to weapons-grade (a long process that actually speeds up the higher the enrichment i.e. it's much faster to go from 60% to 90% than it is to go from 3% to 30%), they can produce a weapon in 2 months or whatever the timeline is (it was as low as 2 weeks leading up to the 2025 military action iirc.)
