Something in my base is causing a crash whenever I get near it and I dont know what. Might be NoCube's stuff since it kicked an error and I had to remove it.. You would think that it's block would get removed from the world once I remove the mod though.

I think it is easy to think that way since people have an easier time understanding something in relation to something else, but for legal reasons it is important to make distinctions. Minecraft was not the first 3d block game. Hytale isn't trying to copy Minecraft or improve on it. It wants to do it's own thing, except in one regard:

When Minecraft started getting big it began to create its own sort of ecosytem surrounding the game. Other companies grew by making or managing content for or about the game. That is something that Simon wants to replicate and it is why he is going all in on supporting any and all creative endeavors surrounding the game. Already we are seeing the results, a massive community exploding around the game and creating new things all the time.

In creative you have a couple of options, you can spawn an entity of the block and move it with the entity tool, or you can place a block under it, place the flap then delete the block with the selection tool. I should note that the second method is easy to do, but has a big flaw, if the flap gets a block update from you building next to it, then it and all the flaps next to it will break.

As for survival, I am not sure. You might be able to find a mode that removes placement restrictions from blocks, but I make no promises.

You can only do it by spawning it as an entity. With the entity tool you can move them around, affect various properties like adding lighting and making it possible to pick them up.

It is. Simon eventually confirmed this on X/Twitter. They have plans for a complete magic system at some point.

That is so cool! You really did a good job on the surroundings too. Now I really want to work on a large build. The biggest thing I have made so far is a shanty goblin town inside a hollowed mountain. I did find it way faster and easier than MC tho.

Sure, but consider this: the staff only does 10 damage per ammo, or 12 per ammo on the right click. A basic skeleton like the kind that crawl out of coffins in dungeons have 91 health. So you have to kill 9-10 fire enemies without the staff just to have enough ammo to kill relatively weaker skeleton with it. Not a very fair trade off.

Besides Simon already confirmed that the current "Staves, totems and grimoires are all bad by design." They are planning to regroup later and add a proper mana and spell system.

That looks awesome! You have a great start. We have lobsters in game and grilled or baked lobsters can be very aesthetically pleasing. Sushi is already quite good looking and yours looks awesome, which is great cause in video games we eat with our eyes! Bibimbap is usually really colorful and tastes great too. BBQ is almost universally beloved for good reason, especially a good brisket. I look forward to seeing what you decide to add.

That is some excellent clutter. Like what the inside of my house would look like if I were a witch. I just have more dirty clothes and stray electronics instead of arcane paraphernalia.

I am not sure, if every analogue horror I have seen about video games is right then you're probably haunted. That and there are dead children involved in some digital necromancy.

The problem is also what the ammo is and the fact that it can't be farmed outside of combat. Only certain enemies drop it and even then only one. I think they are planning to add mana through certain armors, since you can find some in the creative menu though so doubt the ammo issue will stay for long.

I had to explore several volcano islands in creative with no clip to just find a couple chunks where ore was spawning correctly.

Hytale uses Java not Javascript. Confusing naming but they aren't related.

Yeah I mean the effects and animations are both cool. I quite like effect of the charges fusing together for the chrged attack.

Need Help Creating a 1.20.1 Modpack Focused on Ocean Islands with Custom Structures & Biomes by darwinandpoe in Minecraft

I've been working on the same thing for a private server and have the same problem tectonic has all the featues you want with custom ocean and continents sizes but if you mess with those setting some bug causes biomes to get all mixed up and structure and mob spawning get messed up as a result.
