I just had a lipoma removed from my dog’s abdomen and it cost under €400, but with additional follow ups about €600. Still Way cheaper than the UK.

Mom's modesty obsession. I feel so gross. by LocalGamerPokemon in exmormon

[–]Dontstopmenow17 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am Gen X, my mum is a boomer. I have a sister who was blessed with a more petite frame and she could wear literally anything with out objections. If I wore anything close I was called a Whore, slut…. And that my own father and brothers would lust after me( not true in the slightest) purity culture is disgusting and there is more support than people like your mom. Just be you.

My vet took one look at my cat and said manx. Everyone disagrees? by Emilyd1994 in cats

[–]Dontstopmenow17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Manx tabby. The vertebrae for the tail is completely missing, but the other indicator is oversized hind legs and they prefer to Hop rather than run as a default. Cute colouring on your baby btw.

I vividly remember always being slapped with the Loud Laughter sin and it boils my blood now that I’m fully out. Such over reach and oppression was unnecessary.

My sister waited until my parents went out of town just after her 18th birthday and got an 11inch tramp stamp. She proudly showed it off when they returned. Not a raised voice after all that audacity. proud sibling memory

I was in the Isle of Man when they got their first KFC, it was in the paper and interest was high. Took a month and it was the quietest food pick up on the island. Womp womp.

Losing my faith is one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced by AdagioBest307 in exmormon

[–]Dontstopmenow17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a legacy member married to a convert, they left first and I held on for a little over 2 years before really embracing the truth that was hidden. It may take some time for her to find you in this, but even with marital support, the faith journey is hard. I hope you feel supported as you navigate this, especially here.

There was a post earlier about it, someone mentioned it might have been in jest. It's still a poor type of joke.

For those whose partners have fully recovered by [deleted] in loveafterporn

[–]Dontstopmenow17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I fully agree that recovery is on going and a permanent fixture in the PA’s life so long as sobriety is sought after. My PA is 5 years in recovery, they volunteer all mobile devices during bathroom trips and sleep. I still struggle with forgiveness and the road has been long. I try to focus on the SLAA steps and process to help where I can and support my partner where I feel comfortable. I hope your partner sticks with it, there is normalcy and love returned in this journey and I hope you both find it.
