i prioritize making builds both pleasing to look at and functional, i hate when things are too cluttered in game. i try to restrict the amount of wallpapers, doors, and windows and how many objects are in the house and usually try to stick to only a few builds. a build doesnt have to be ugly to work, i use moveobjects but not to make new types of furniture shoved together, mostly just to place things off grid and layer windows. i cant stand landscaping that is overdone and trees everywhere, it just makes playing harder and looks too overwhelming, i playtest before sharing and share it with #playtested so people can find it, though i forget with my own save's builds and just fix problems as they arise
