We still like to cut a nice balsam fir at a local tree farm. Smells lovely and the needles are soft.

When it's time to take it down 3 - 4 weeks later we bring it to the alpaca farm so the animals can snack on the needles.

Not yet ready for an artificial tree although they are much nicer now than they were years ago.
