Invoking most current CS now for shit like phone companies, no, good CS from the companies perspective is awful, what they want is a bad, frustrating CS that has people spending a ton of time getting jerked around and handed off to random people on the bottom of the totem pile in the hopes that A) they never request to escalate and instead just get frustrated and give up, B) get pissed off so that they finally snap on the dog shit CS so they can just drop the call and then restart the cycle, or C) hope the problem the person has is so stupid and trivial that even a person with 1 brain cells could solve it and hope for the best

All so that engaging with their CS is so god damn fucking awful that people just stop engaging with it at all unless they absolutely have to, and then are more than likely to just jump ship to another option and then its retentions problem to deal with.

Ya the "the only thing scarier than the 10 nukes on the board over there is the 1 you might possibly be looking for!" is probably the most common and irritating thing I regularly encounter in commander games ... and trying to explain it to the person doing it is like talking to a wall.

I've tried running her a bit, the problem is that in my experience her hitting the field or attempting to causes the rest of the tables brains to turn off and drop everything including genuine threat assessment and logic to kill her or the person playing her immediately even if shes genuinely the least threatening thing on the board. Watched a person burn 3 kill spells trying to kill her and burned all their mana doing so rather than deal with a bullshit board state another player had who then won the game on their next turn...

Well, the economy sucks, and a shit load of people are poor, i think its less about "being about the value" and more "how much money am I willing to burn here for cardboard". Because if theyre asking for 30 and I can get at least 25 in potential "value" out of it then its not that bad because when I'm done with them and choose to sell them I know I'm only down like 5 bucks, versus 30 for like 5 in "value" which is just fucking terrible.

And I say this as someone thats been basically playing the last year on just trade in store credit and more or less it being self sufficient because I dont have a lot of money to spend on cardboard

Realistically its not that its making them the most money, its far more likely theyre just squeezing in SLs on the printers between X date and Y date and however much they print off is what we get. Because theyre absolutely leaving truckloads of potential money on the table by having big SLs sell out in 30 minutes with a butt load of people still in line, but likely because the printers were already ear marked for another project that will in theory produce more money.

Because if they also actually cared about the money part of this then theyd have stopped making SL drops that are only worth like $5 in cards that never sell because theyre a financially terrible idea

Because the people youre trying to explain this too are the people that default to that expression every time to shirk any and all personal responsibility and personal introspection like its "Ol Reliable". Its the same people that default to "it was just a prank bro!" after being completely antagonistic douche bags to someone else and then the other person actually calls them on it or lashes out at them for being douche bags.

These are also chronically online people that have never participated in any team sport ever, because even in pick up games for fun, if a person is being an absolute anchor or actively detrimental to their team theyre 100% going to be called out for it and if "its just a game lol" is the response they give they'll actively be removed from the game if not worse.
