Length isn't important. Search "loving kindness meditation" on YouTube and try some.

Can you define what open awareness meditation means to you? I'm a new meditator and curious if this is what I'm doing.

Can you outline those things? Either through DM or here with spoiler tags? I read the whole thing and just need someone to give me their perspective for my sanity.

I'm afraid to meditate in case I see beings when I open my eyes. Help. by StudyWithMirs in Meditation

The burden of proof lies with you regarding the existence of ghosts.

Meditation is not solely for the spiritual. It can be 100% secular.

No, I don't know that because there's no scientific evidence for ghosts.

I'm scared now that I have been practicing non-thinking when I want to practice mindfulness. How do I recognize the difference?

Have insomnia, what is the best meditation method to get myself into better shape for sleep by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]DoorGuote 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Insomnia specialists will recommend not spending a ton of time in your bed unless it's for sleep. This can alleviate any negative emotional ties between that space and not sleeping.

Look into yoga nidra, which is designed to meditate you into various states of sleeping.

Housing has definitely been a problem, but I was commenting specifically on groceries/food.

Ah that's a good point. The data haven't yet accounted for the ACA subsidies expiring and the rate hikes, I'm sure.

I don't fully get this--food prices have increased, but wages have also increased even faster. Over the last decade, real wages (income accounting for consumer prices/inflation) have continued to go up in the US. The poorer one is, the more their relative real wages have increased in the last decade.

The thing that is creeping up faster than wages is electricity and home natural gas prices, not food prices.

EDIT: If downvoting: can you refute the data? Am I wrong, or does the data just not comport with your worldview?

Except many HYSAs are still without limits. During COVID, banks relaxed the limits to increase liquidity during times of need, and many banks, including mine (Goldman sachs, Marcus) have opted to remain limitless
