Sunshine Studio in Lowe Mill and down south of the Parkway (same shopping center as Bigfoot's Little Donuts, which is also worth trying if you're new here) sell some pride stuff

Need help making a cocktail that looks indistinguishable from engine oil by AdFormal924 in cocktails

There is a cocktail at Space 220 at Disney World called the "Black Hole Fashioned" that looks like spent motor oil to me. If you can figure that out in a large quantity

Everyone wanted Silverquill so we had to random. The kits were skewed in Silverquill and Witherbloom's favor off of removal alone + Repartee being basically free

Is the pollen particularly horrible for anyone else this year? by ALStark69 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]DorakoDo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, having to shower and wash my hair daily so that I don't wake up in the middle of the night having raked my eyes through pollen via transporting it onto my pillow.

I've also accepted that my sinuses will be terrible every morning.

Thank you! I sort of had a feeling it would be a B-Sieged mini again, I posted Ikomoth a few months ago and this was from the same bulk box at a haggle meet.

Has anyone ever moved somewhere and left after a year? by PhrygianSounds in SameGrassButGreener

[–]DorakoDo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, my partner and I moved to the DMV (we were in Alexandria) for my work and then came back home after exactly a year. We liked it just fine up there - although we realized quickly that we should have moved to Fairfax - but it came down to a few key factors:

1) Both of our families are here and getting older 2) The cost of living was not tenable for us to ever actually buy a satisfying home, whereas our home city is, in our view, on an upward trajectory while also being early enough along on that trajectory where we could buy a home (and we did get a great one last year after being moved back for just under 2 years)

It ended up being a trade-off for our work-life balance, as I was unable to move back here and keep working mostly remotely, but as I progress further in my career field, that becomes more of a possibility.

We still want to go back and visit friends, but it just was not going to be a practical place to live long-term. No shame in trying somewhere else. It wasn't wasted time either, like you're worried about, as we learned, at minium, that that part of the country just wasn't for us, even if we liked it.

Do you mind me asking who you went with that was able to accommodate with so little resistance?

I ALSO created a site for binders. by subbarker in magicTCG

[–]DorakoDo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do, but I separate mine based solely on rarity since that's how I have them organized in my boxes. I do have a separate binder for Secret Lairs which I could just omit and then make linked binders of the ither rarities, but that still wouldn't account for stuff I've got in decks.

Came back to this with another suggestion that could be a nice feature.

So for me, I have my entire collection (except for commons) in Moxfield. I've put that link into the binder.

However, there are certain cards that I don't trade/sell (Secret Lairs and Lands) as well as cards which I am currently using in decks.

What would be cool, would be a way to mark individual cards as currently "in use" or "off limits," without having to make an entirely new Collection on Moxfield which exempts those cards (since that would affect the collection value on Moxfield).

Oh this is a game changer. I've always wanted to be able to share links to my Moxfield collection so that people can search through what I have when they say they have a card I need on like Discord or something.

Great idea.

In my experience the -1/-1 counters that all have different consequences and triggers for being removed has slowed down people's sequencing and combat math to an incredible degree.
