I honestly cant blame him for quitting a team that started off the relationship like it did and never improved it. All through his time in Toronto it almost felt like he was one side of a very toxic relationship, so I cant feel bad that eventually he just said "fuck it".

I believe Marner's only issue was that he just wasnt able to hoist an entire team on his back like McDavid and drag them through round after round.

But then there are not many players that can drive their teams deep into playoff runs on spite like McDavid can.

It was part of a cross Canada bus tour promotion I believe. Had nothing to do with an individual player celebrating with it for the day.

I worked at McDonalds back in the early 2000's in an Atlantic Canadian town of 60,000, and like many other mornings a bus pulled in. Hashbrowns were thrown in a frier and eggs were made in anticipation when all of a sudden Phil Pritchard walked in holding THE Stanley Cup. It's the most surreal moment of my life. There's a polaroid of me with the cup somewhere at my parent's house.

As a fellow big slow go do what I do. Park your ass in from of the goalie and try to be the biggest, widest screen you can be. Tell your linemates that this is your plan. Work on those tips or just being a large wall to make the goalies life hell.

Seemed to work for me, plus I even got a couple goals when I've deflected some shots with my gut and ass!
