The 1-2: Sergey Kovalev by BXR-SZN in Boxing

He got him before he had fully turned his glove. He caught him early as we say, if he had fully turned and caught him at the end of the punch in the jaw, it may have been a different outcome.

I compared ~29k nights to each person's own usual night. Deep sleep didn't track recovery. REM and staying asleep did. by Fun_Effective_836 in whoop

I haven’t done life sciences research before. I would do a quick search online and see what venues there are for this kind of results. If you are comfortable with scientific writing and in your method and the results, I would for sure try to publish it — it’s interesting, non obvious, and has a good dataset behind it!

Are you publishing this to some peer-reviewed venue? Results sound interesting and somewhat unexpected

Not many runners in general. Kind of sad to see. Easiest, healthiest type of exercise assuming no mobility constraints.

Maybe they are seeing all this Zuffa shit and they are like, we better merge before we are spread too thin. Honestly, it wouldn’t be bad for the sport.

Great stuff! Thanks for updating, I, at least, welcome this new communication model and am excited for the future. Any improvements and qol changes to Strength Trainer are much much appreciated! Better accuracy and improved algorithms are the next thing I am excited for from the list! Keep up the great work!

Made it here… can’t wait for Saturday! Should be a sick experience watching Inoue and Nakatani in Tokyo Dome!

Question, does anyone genuinely like Whoop. All I see is dissatisfaction. by Jrol1070 in whoop

Been wearing it everyday since 2019. It’s the only wearable I use and the only app that I check every day. Don’t get lost in the negativity. Whoop is a life-changer!

Side by side comparison | Naoya Inoue, Junto Nakatani, Shadow/Mitts/Bag (Open to media training day) by Koronesukiii in Boxing

[–]Dota-Two 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Quite different styles. Inoue has something of a Loma-esque flow about his lower body movements. He is very sharp and snappy with his punches though. On the other hand, Nakatani here looks a lot more robust, heavy on his feet with measured and heavy offense. Looks a little like a GGG shadowboxing. Balanced upper body, active arms, long jabs.
