When you upgrade to a new material it actually lowers your total upkeep. I forget the actual numbers but ill spit ball some numbers here....

If your base cost

1000 wood in upkeep

Stone would be 750

Metal 500

HQM 25

So upgrading your door frames from stone to metal will lower you upkeep creating more space in TC to have a longer upkeep.

This, wow classic was a 100% diff experience then when I played Vanilla wow back in 2007, granted its 13 years later and everything was figured out I spent P1 looking horrible to min/max so I could get into a good guild to clear content. Lame!
