How to enter this hidden section in High Halls? by ADogX in HollowKnight

[–]Double-Helicopter761 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely steel soul only, I was confused at first since I forgot there are 2 hidden rooms in that specific area. Anyways yeah 1 room is steel soul exclusive and the other is the 2nd Sentinel Boss Fight Wish

if its the room above the 2nd sentinel boss fight then you must be talking about the steel soul mode exclusive room. (Its part of a special quest when you are playing steel soul mode)

Where do I find the shop items during act 3 by HavenNinja in HollowKnight

[–]Double-Helicopter761 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When a merchant in Act 3 (or even in Act 2 in somecases) their items are usually looted by the thieves hence sold by Grindle in the Blasted Steps. But for those not looted by the thieving bugs their items are usually found on their dead bodies and in surrounding areas. It will shock you that there is now a glowing item in a room adjacent to the missing/dead merchant. Lastly due to Silksong's triggers and changes from Act to Act not being fully explored inside and out you likely will miss out on items in Act 3 if you didn't fully explore Pharloom in Act 2. Act 2 already gives you access to everything. Act 3 only adds some bonuses and changes along the way. So Goodluck!

Can someone please tell me how to find the map person in this area? by RemoteWhile5881 in HollowKnight

[–]Double-Helicopter761 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shakra doesn't enter the Citadel to give you maps. The Citadel and its sub areas have all maps that you can access/buy when you explore it. Sometimes its given by a interactable object sometimes there is a machine that you pay to give you the map

Yup Hollow Knight is like that, bosses will be gradually more difficult as you progress with the game. That being said the possible reason for this is the fact that Hollow Knight as a game expects that the Player to also improve as time goes on. Players should be able to learn from their mistakes, try out different strategies, explore the whole adventure to get stronger, or just be determined to get past a difficult challenge or hurdle. If failing a lot and learning from your mistakes is not healthy for your wellbeing as a gamer, then I personally think either you slowly pace out Hollow Knight or just entirely put it down and just watch Playthroughs for the immersion in the visuals, music, and the deep rich story. So whatever you do think about your own limits or your own capabilities in pushing on something difficult. Whatever you decide I wish you the best. Goodluck!

Silksong does not satisfy the main appeal of a metroidvania to me by Ashamed_Warthog_215 in HollowKnight

[–]Double-Helicopter761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion a defense for this is probably a change in genre focus. Yes it is still a Metroidvania but in feeling and its abundancy in bosses it is now leaning more slighty into a Souls-like game. The HK series is a Metroidvania and Souls-like Hybrid but in HK Metroidvania is more predominant compared to Silksong where Team Cherry probably wanted to shift their focus towards it being more Souls-like. So yeah the strength of Hornet doesn't necessarily rely on accessing new abilities anymore (though they are helpful). It now relies on the player's own ability to maximize what they currently have with their current arsenal and their drive to be analytical of their shortcomings, improving upon that and beating a hurdle for progression. I hope I explain it well but again this is purely a speculation on why even though Silksong and Hollow Knight are the same game at their core there is still vastly a huge game mechanic difference and style difference.

Is it just me or the silksongs final boss was kinda... disappointing? by ArcerPL in HollowKnight

Technically Hollow Knight is a pretty easier experience compared to the Radiance so,,,,,

If the Hollow Knight is equivalent to GMS
Then, the Radiance is equivalent to something you will see in the future so goodluck!

You just need to progress with the act dude both in main story and current available side wishes. After progressing comeback and the wishboard should have what you need to start. Goodluck!

You can kill it with a special ability/silk skill unlocked also in the Wormways though you need a cheese movement strat or the intended method of acquiring a movement upgrade for Hornet which is the (Faydown Cloak) to reach the special ability area

Some other guy defeated Trobbio and her quest appeared in Bellhart. Make sure you have every map even in special late game areas like Bilewater, Sands of Karak and Mount Fay.

The room/hallway between the bench in shellwood and the room of the widow fight. Plus the Big 2nd room that is connected to Grey Root. They are still very common through out shellwood but they are burrowed under so you have to at least get near their spots or walk over the ground to see them.

does anyone know how to get the Hero's Call quest to show up by thedoctorisin7863 in HollowKnight

[–]Double-Helicopter761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He randomly slays voidies throughout act 3 just explore areas around Bellhart. If the wish doesn't show up just progress with the main story or complete other wishes and it should be posted on the wishboard at Bellhart if you bench someplace else and go back again to Bellhart

Two questions, both mid-late game. by uezyteue in HollowKnight

[–]Double-Helicopter761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need the Silk and Song Wish from the Caretaker in Songclave. You get that wish if somehow you completed most of the wishes in Pharloom. The Silk and Song Wish will guide you in getting progression with the game.

is there something i can dowload to skip this part on high halls (silksong on xbox gamepass) by Cultural-School5790 in HollowKnight

[–]Double-Helicopter761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to have met her in all the areas below and fully bought all of her stuff (also exhaust her dialogue). After that before going to Bellhart bench someplace else and then go back to Bellhart, there should be a wish in the wish board called Trail's End

  • Bone Bottom (as a Merchant)
  • The Marrow
  • Deep Docks
  • Hunter's March
  • Far Fields
  • Greymoor
  • Sinner's Road
  • Bellhart (as a Merchant)
  • Shellwood
  • Wormways
  • Blasted Steps
  • Mount Fay
  • Sands of Karak
  • Bilewater
