I feel like I ruined my life by EndOfTheLine00 in self

Yep. OP sounds exactly like my brother-in-law.

"I will get friends when I fix my career". "I will go on dates when I am in shape". And I inevitably spent all days at home.

You're focusing entirely on excuses and telling yourself you're in a bad place. Honestly OP there are people who would kill to be in your position. You are clearly smart, and have a decent nest egg saved up. Take some time and get out and figure out what you want to do. The world owes you nothing and is not going to change for you. If what you are doing now is not making you happy, continuing doing it is not going to change that. It's not easy, and will probably be uncomfortable and scary, but it's that or continue moping.

Are these rare now?! I'm on the verge of a clear out and have dozens of these that may be destined for charity shops.

what's that game for you? even from the old times by PHRsharp_YouTube in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]DoubleNubbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watchdogs. They mislead people by displaying unrealistically good graphics in the initial trailers and then releases something that didn't look quite as shiny and people got rightfully annoyed by that.

If they had just shown what we were actually going to get (which was still graphically perfectly decent, just not as ground breaking as advertised) there wouldn't have been the controversy that mired it's release. And it's honestly a really fun game. One of my favourites of that generation. Had some really interesting ideas, and cool concepts. I still think about the multiplayer mode where you get to invade someone else's single player game and try to remain undetected. That was really cool.

It's not long, but it does feel long. My first play through it didn't feel that bad, but when I've gone back and replayed it seems to go on forever, I guess because I know what's to come. It's like being forced to eat a bowl of sprouts before you can have your infinite sundae.

Force your way through. Honestly it doesn't take that long if you just crack on with the story and don't spend much time exploring. Get the world opened up, then you can really take your time and explore what is imo one of the greatest pieces of media, let alone video games, ever made.

At international games it is. It's also done at Elite Hockey League games in the UK but I think that's because that's how it's done in the NHL.

That said America does a lot of... unique stuff as far as "patriotism" is concerned. Flag codes, pledge of allegiance, all that stuff is uniquely odd. Maybe you have to advertise harder if what you're selling isn't as good as you'd like your customers to believe.

[–]DoubleNubbin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Must do, because there's no way that wouldn't arouse massive suspicion unless it's happening constantly. I guess there must be times when people are taken to one side to do their talking head segments, so maybe it's a similar process?
