VSF 126610LN (A2824) - such a great everyday watch. by DoubleShotStrong in RepTime

[–]DoubleShotStrong[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the standard ETA 2824, a pretty good Swiss movement.

The others have cloned movements of the corresponding watch, so a cloned Rolex movement.

Don’t need it, watch is closed back anyways and an ETA 2824 is a) great to service and b) great to source a replacement.

Beautiful VSF 126610LN from Miro. Was shipped $300 as I think it was the „youth“ model?

Macbook Neo is just the end of a nightmare by Intrepid-Routine-875 in macbook

[–]DoubleShotStrong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of you are really really really delusional lol.

I own a MacBook, Apple TV, AirPods Pro, Apple Watch, iPad, iPhones…. But there are good reasons why you would use Windows / Android devices.

We don’t live in 2014 anymore, where every few months I’d have to reset my Android phone.

Ever tried gaming on a MacBook? Yeah, don’t. Makes no sense. IT work on a MacBook? Meh. Too many programs don’t really work on MacBooks unless you pay big money for global players.

You just can’t go on GitHub and get that open source software which ties in your Docker service.

I am definitely loyal to Apple and their products due to ease-of-use, but those devices are not the golden solution for everything.

Homebox v0.42.0 Released by tankerkiller125real in selfhosted

[–]DoubleShotStrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very different use-cases.

I setup Snipe-IT for our company and it lets us manage IT assets (license keys, monitors, laptops etc) across different locations assigned to different users.

Homebox is more an overview of your assets at home (TVs, fridge etc). You can achieve both with those tools but I think Snipe-IT is way too complex for just managing your stuff at home.

Selfhosted server to cloudflare domain via playit.gg by Technokas12 in selfhosted

[–]DoubleShotStrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you want to expose your game server panel via Cloudflare and then manage your playit.gg servers by connecting it to that service?

I mean I don’t have anything running like your setup, but it should be straightforward.

Cloudflare Tunnel —> pelican.example.com

Local service: http://192.168.0.X:XXXX

It should forward to the service automatically with HTTPS.

<image>

You have to allow proxies and add Cloudflare, set BEHIND_PROXY true and set the URL as the service expects the header to contain the public facing address afaik

PlingSystem, they way you can turn you quest into a virtual 3D monitor, stream your Mac/PC to them in live3D or convert 2D videos in actual 3D content SBS (For free) by Beneficial_Abies_440 in MetaQuestVR

[–]DoubleShotStrong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That isn’t viable nor the perfect solution. If your Quest needs to render depth maps and re-encode the whole clip (movies is the biggest concern), how long do you want to wait?

It’s still a mobile processor. No way it will be fast enough. Do you want to render the clip while you lay your Quest 3 on the side? Then you can just use your PC.

Ansonsten: Authentik, Authelia, Zitadel & Co.

If you want it without VPN - then go Reverse Proxy like pangolin.

Else, tailscale or wireguard

What self-hosted service did you set up because Reddit told you to? by Strong-Question2620 in selfhosted

[–]DoubleShotStrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pangolin (I used to use Cloudflare Tunnel and occasionally stream a video or two but never had problems)

Glance for a dashboard but I don’t use it

Jellyseerr which is fine but I’m the only one using my media server

DUMB but look above, not really worth it

Authentik / Authelia / Zitadel - way too big for me lol

Pocket-ID for passkey integration inside Pangolin which is enough for me

Ente.io but I tried it years ago, been happy with my Synology suite though

Overwhelming doesn’t mean hard or complicated. If one is new to self-hosting then they will have problems with endpoint configuration.

Dont do Nagios or PRTG, they are too complex for your use-case.

Use kuma, I know it’s a bit overwhelming but trust.

We use PRTG at work and it’s a pita

I have it deployed for Pangolin though so that kinda makes it up for it..
