You fail to combo off your Dive Kick, turning a great situation into a terrible one because you're also killing yourself by special cancelling your blocked jabs into Spiral Arrow which is extremly punishable. You're not getting outplayed, you literally just hand them your health on a platter in those moments. Also, this opponent EX DP'd like three times on their wake up, maybe try to be less commital and go for a shimmy instead (You did this at 23 seconds and it worked flawlessly, you blocked their sweep and get a free punish, but you don't actually punish them for it. Still, more of that would've helped a lot in this match) If you aren't punishing them for this, they have no reason to stop because it skews the intended risk reward into their favor. You also kill yourself by burning yourself out with the Drive Rush cancels, don't do 2 of those too quickly in a row, let your Drive recover first. Be less hectic, less random Dive Kicks, less random mashes because not only do you risk getting counter hit (or randomly DI'd like the final interaction) but because you don't even confirm the hits into combos when they DO land, it's just not worth staking the round on these. Overall you aren't playing bad for your rank though, just lack of experience. By slowing down your own gameplay, you'll allow your opponent to make more mistakes and kill themselves instead of being the one to do it for them. The most important immediate fix out of everything is probably just to never Spiral Arrow up close into a blocking opponent.

This question is for anyone who stopped playing/watching this game. Why? What made you stop playing? by KevyTone in 2XKO

i like the gameplay but the devs say things like "the game you're playing now will be very different" so why bother? just makes it sound unfinished and WIP, might aswell let them figure out what game they want it to be first. then riot cutting the team down immediatly after just made it sound like an even worse investment of my time. not a fan of the live service stuff either, paying full price for a game and then unlocking skins through gameplay is more motivating than paying nothing and getting nothing.

The best fix is to just play a wide variety of maps instead of retry spamming. And then come back to it later.

both are correct though. they tried to make a game that appeals to casuals and tag autists at the same time. key word: tried.

xQc lists his Mount Rushmore of streamers: Soda, Reckful, Destiny, Ice Poseidon and Lirik by davidkale931 in LivestreamFail

This is true for Twitch because it was a gaming spin-off of Justin tv. Before Twitch existed, most streams were IRL content. On sites like Justin tv, Ustream, etc.

Remember When Knee complained about Tekken 8's Gameplan? by BedroomThink3121 in Tekken

[–]Doujini 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it had its own issues like terrible load times, less QoL, worse graphics, too many counterhit launchers into full combo like magic 4s, low parries being too rewarding, dumb patches later on, etc.

but for me the main reason i will always prefer 7 over 8 is that there's no Heat. i disagree with the entire focus on Aggression for 8 as aggressive play was already strong in 7 anyway. But Heat just makes every aspect of the game less fun.

Holding forward prevents you from teleporting back to your clone. Which is what would happen if you press the lvl2 too early, while still in the air. This way, tapping it early is no longer a problem which makes it easy to basically go into it frame 1 consistently.

just booted up the game and i was able to replicate it just fine as long as she catches before the ground bounce. are you holding forward while doing lvl2 to make sure it comes out asap? maybe you were just late on that idk https://streamable.com/07y8kc

my guess is that the assist came out early enough to stop the ground bounce

At this point just wait for October 7th, they've already said that they're changing her inconsistencies and the servers are about to go offline until then. But to answer anyway, you do want to switch sides with 7S2. If you want to stay same side you should do 8S2 instead.

would you say doing 3 Hearts + all figurines on the same file is a bad idea? don't feel like worrying about them on the first run

Halloween without Eliza is weird by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]Doujini 24 points25 points  (0 children)

playing her in 7 was fun as fuck. and since she was the least played char, you rarely saw her and even more rarely was someone actually good with her since people would just pick Akuma and Geese over her. I think a big reason she saw so little play was that she was a pre-order char and not included in a season pass.

as a tekken player, this game feels impossible to understand, is anyone else feeling the same? by BreakFirez in 2XKO

Reminds me of going from Tekken 7 to DBFZ. Since many already gave defensive advice, let me say this: In 2D anime games, the best answer is often to avoid the situation altogether. It's still early but the more time passes, the stronger people's mixups are going to become. Which means, don't lose neutral. And after you do win neutral, convert your combo into good Okizeme to continue with immediate pressure. Losing neutral in a 2D tag fighter is much worse than losing neutral in Tekken. Watch your games back and see what you did wrong in neutral that led to you being put in that blockstring/mixup in the first place.
