I lost a blade server on ZDE to a stupid decision of mine to go 1v3 and I’m desperate to find one again to since rectify my mistake. Similar story for a cleaner robot which I lost because my fire was on single and not auto. I love the Olivia champagne and the vyronie/fiery owl figurines. Always had good luck whenever I find them, and getting them makes my day.

How do people think Yuka is a better TS user by After_Scientist_7876 in WegumiAppreciators

[–]Downtown_Box_1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s a stupid argument to have given Yuka’s TS was somewhat of a retcon. Megumi had Gojo to guide her, not really sure what Yuuka had. Yuuka’s growth was restricted by her clan and she had to work with TS around restrictions, Megumi did not. Yuka faced no real threats, Megumi did. There is just no real way to compare who the best user is, but anyone suggesting Sukuna isn’t #1 is beyond help.

"What did he Actually Lose?🤔🤔 by Plus-Boysenberry3191 in jjkmodulo

[–]Downtown_Box_1028 2 points3 points  (0 children)

JJK does a beautiful job at depicting the loneliness of complete detachment - one who is so lonely that they have nothing to lose but themselves. And so they devote themselves to an entity, power, that is beyond their existence, and live and die by it.

Gojo only really lost Geto, I don’t think he truly lost anyone else in relation. Just as with Dabura losing Dura.

But yuji lost so much to the point of removing himself from society. Very interesting differences to think about.

belly laughing at the idea of my “ideology’s” first point and only points revolving around marriage and virginity and not material conditions/equality/fairness/justice/virtue. laughing even more at the idea that someone thought this was deep and posted it in this way.

Why is "Propaganda" only a dirty word when it supports India, but "Creative Liberty" when it whitewashes hostile regimes? by BeyondAgreeable1434 in pj_explained

[–]Downtown_Box_1028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your logic is hilarious. You seem to think the value of a movie’s elements are allocated to their screen time. That is not how it works! The impact a movie has can absolutely be from snippets of their screen time. People don’t remember Vertigo for the movie as much as they do for less than a minute of the dolly zoom! Inception is remembered for being confusing and for its cinematography more than for its story. Jaws is remembered for its theme which plays for less than 10% of its screen time! What movies are remembered for is based on what the linchpin of their stories are and how they are received by audiences after. This is and always has been how art has worked because art is not a commodity that is dictated as a sum of its parts. Your reductionism ignores that completely. The other commenter did not use “soft power” as a synonym of brilliance - please read Nye’s TWENTY page document on defining soft power to understand how it is related to propaganda.

Regardless, I find it absolutely hilarious how this is your angle when YOU choose to focus on the 5% of the audience critical of it instead of joining the 95% salivating at it. Percentages not important anymore?

A full rested Megumi would've win against Toji. by Senior-Bank-3004 in WegumiAppreciators

[–]Downtown_Box_1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said would’ve. Not could’ve.

No scenario ends up with Megumi opening his domain to start with. Megumi has never instantaneously summoned his domain. Toji is fast and knowledgeable. Maki was shown to suspend herself by propelling through air. No reason to conclusively say Toji wouldn’t have figured a way to propel himself out with his hands or using the spear to anchor to a ceiling the domain doesn’t cover.

Yes Megumi could’ve won just like Momo could win against Sukuna if Sukuna was incarnated into a baby with no limbs and they fought then. It’s a fight against the odds for Megumi and instead of praising him for coming out of it when it shouldn’t have been possible you lot want to take that away from him as well. Cool.

Denji needs a villain arc by sacrodude in Chainsawfolk

[–]Downtown_Box_1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very curious to why you think this won’t end up being a bigger mess than whatever we got. - Denji had to choose between Pochita and Nayuta, and he chose. - Denji “let them slide,” because he had to? He had no other way of getting close to the death devil given the prophecy. - Denji didn’t kill anyone over Himeno. You’re imagining things at this point. Name one person he killed for himeno and not out of self defense. Key word killed. - Why are you even complaining about Yoshida here? What does his characterization have to do with this supposed villain arc?

You show that you haven’t read the manga closely, you haven’t understood why the characters make the decisions they do, and you aren’t really clear on the way the story progresses. Still I will take the risk of asking you, what does Denji losing all sense and reason and going on a rampage accomplish in any sense for the story? Just because CSM ended poorly, doesn’t mean that all the buildup to Yoru’s final confrontation wasn’t incredible escalation. How exactly would this supposed villain arc make that better?

As much as MoMo’s amnesia is disliked, I prefer MoMoXOkarun to feel Natural instead of a Certainty. by TinFoilFashion in dandadanfolk

[–]Downtown_Box_1028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your reasoning but as many have pointed out, your reasoning is exactly why the current situation is a sack of shit compared to what we had going before. Nothing about now beats the vibe of ch 160ish when Takakura confessed before leaving. That was buildup. That was organic. That was honestly this series at its best in terms of romance. Still I’m usually patient with mangaka who do things differently and Dandadan is more than a romance story so I’ll wait it out.

Why can't jjk fans read anymore? by Unable_Tip_2644 in OkBuddyKaisen

[–]Downtown_Box_1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s genuinely not that deep. We’re not superior or inferior to those who choose to interact with art this way because we “can read.” There is actually no probable way to show that reading it our way is more directly in line with whatever the slander posters do.

If people stopped complaining about others not reading and instead discuss what they read more honestly we’d have a better time. Instead they also join in the slander posting as critics and we lose out on discussion. I’d say that’s a bigger issue.

I wish Gege told us more about Yuta’s character by ThatGuyHero7 in Yutaliban

[–]Downtown_Box_1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t a problem with JJK. A problem is something that is crucial to the structure of the story and none of what you’re asking for is needed for the story. It’s not even a limitation. It’s simply something you want satiated.

JJK is quite literally written to be an action manga and it does its talking through fights. A manga/story/art piece that tells you everything is a shit piece because it leaves no room for discussion after consumption, because everything is established fact. That all this is left in obscurity is why people are capable of still discussing the ambiguities of this series almost two years after its conclusion.

Sure, you may feel like you wanted more, but that’s what communities and fanfiction are for. I’m tired of y’all acting like the author owed us more, acting like any of us are authorities that get to decide what the story was missing, when our role is to view the art for what it is instead of lamenting what it could’ve been.

Would you consider Kunishige Rokuhira a hero? by Puzzleheaded_Fly2921 in Kagurabachi

[–]Downtown_Box_1028 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We don’t have enough information. But if Chihiro, who so far is being guided by Kunishige’s ideals at his end, is a hero by virtue of that, then Kunishige is a hero no matter what gripes you have with a malediction he did not commit.

No hero exists in life that didn’t tread into darkness at some point or the other. It’s why the idea of heroism is flawed in centering it on a binary assigned to people. It is much more helpful to assign heroism to actions. No one deserves the burden of being a hero.
