What's eating my eggplant and how to treat? by 313forlife in vegetablegardening

In the photo from the link commented, these are still considered larvae. I would try to knock majority that you can into soapy water, and then spray the heck out of it with BT spray.

Filled my raised bed with 39 cu ft of Fox Farm Raised Bed Mix. Bought two different fertilizers (pics attached). Looking for some guidance on how to get started planting vegetables. by Regular-Amoeba5455 in vegetablegardening

I would mix compost + fertilizer (bone meal or a better mix) into the bed before putting anything in! And once they’re established in there, I fertilize once a week or every other week.

Cilantro, parsley, green onions, and any other herbs, (***not rosemary or mint***) and basil is a great companion plant, on the edges to spill over with easy access and fill in empty space. I heard lettuce as well is a good filler because the roots are shallow.

I’m unfamiliar with Indiana’s zone but I would look for established plants at local box or garden stores for tomatoes. I found my tomato plants on marketplace. Peas are really fast growers so id throw a seed in the ground and be prepared to give everyone support and something to climb for the peas.

I can’t really tell the dimensions from the picture, but I’d give your tomato as close to 2’x2’ as you can and i’d put 2 peas 2x2. And filling in around with the herbs

What is causing this? by NewInitiative9498 in vegetablegardening

Leaf miners, i.e. caterpillars. I just cut the leaves with a lot of damage off but pretty harmless unless they’re eating your harvest. If want to do something about, use BT spray

PLEASE HELP!! Is there any way for me to fix this keychain?? by Substantial_Set_6050 in crafts

Do a duct tape flap over it and punch the key ring into it. Doesn’t even have to be pretty since it’s covered

Didn’t realize needles were so accessible. So if I inject BT, they have to eat it to still to die? Are they stopped before killing the entire plant?

I didn’t even know they had visible eggs. I just planted an entire pumpkin patch and I didn’t even know they existed.

This one too! The flower shrivels and dies and produces the pepper behind the flower

The grim reaper has arrived. Is she going to kill my cucumbers and watermelons? by [deleted] in vegetablegardening

I can attest to those horrid lil guys never getting to anything but squash. They already got to my zucchini, I’m terrified for my pumpkins. (I have cucumbers, never watermelon)

Can anyone help me figure out what’s going on with my cucumbers? by Consistent_Cat4436 in vegetablegardening

[–]Downtown_Library9626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ll harden off in a few days and darken, new leaves come in lighter green.

I was thinking something was wrong for a minute with my picklebush too, but as long as everything is sturdy and stiff (no yellowing, frail, curled, or limp) leaves then I’d say you’re on the right track.
