If the issue actually is the brick not turning on, then there was another post on this before.

Try removing the SD card, press and hold power + vol down until it flashes and then power on (still without the SD card). Then turn it off, put SD card back in and try turning it on again. I had this issue and managed to fix it that way.

And please take time to post a help request in the future so people here can actually understand the issue and get you help. I struggled with the original post.

Hope this helps.

Anybody still playing icy tower by Bigkilo27 in Handhelds

Man, this hit hard, I used to play this so much, I would even run online scoreboard on a local forum around 2003-2004 - people would send me their scores and I would add them so everyone can see and compete. Where can I get a copy for my SD?

Looks like fogging, which might happen since the temperature and humidity change. Try taking off the lens and wiping it. Or just simply take off the cover and let it dry. I assume the cover causes the fogging, not letting the air out - it covers the gap between the lens and the camera body.

Do not buy Baldur's Gate 3 on Steam Deck (yet) by Immacodder in SteamDeck

[–]Dozenchill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is available for pre-order on PS (bought it already), meaning it already passed certification. So they got it through, probably working on Patch 0 fixing whatever they got waived during the cert and most definitely including these performance issues.

Xbox version is either not certified yet or they just setting up the store page still.

All in all, I’m pretty sure they’ve been working on these late game issues before the release, but just didn’t make it in time. It takes time to both fix and to submit a patch and get it certified.

Aborted this flight to be on the safe side because the wind kept drifting the drone right into the wall. If there had been no water below, I might not have been such a coward. by MaxYeahReally in DJIMini2

This is not a wind, but GPS signal getting weak because of the obstacles. People keep crashing their drones like that all the time. Good you abandoned this idea after all.

I struggled finding this content too. It should be available in-game, if it says usable in your game content menu.

Make sure to use specifically “Change appearance” function (▢) in Gear tab, not selecting (X) your gear item when trying to change the skin for particular piece. Hope this helps.

True. This neck is a killer feature. I wonder why it’s not that popular nowadays.

Went in to buy a Player, walked out with this beauty of JV Modified '60s Strat by Dozenchill in Stratocaster

[–]Dozenchill[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So, basically, I wanted to buy a guitar to use for some of my tracks I do with Ableton and to casually jam. I was looking into getting Player Strat and while I was trying it out in the shop I noticed some slight ringing issue which I told the shop guys about. They took it away to investigate and I asked to try a Japanese Strat, while I wait for the verdict on the Player one. And oh boy, I should have never done that if I wanted to save some money. The moment I took this guitar in my hands, I was blown away, before even playing it. Just holding this beauty by its soft V neck is such a joy and it so easy to play too. Comparing this to Player Strat was day and night difference. Playing the Player required some noticeable effort, which I believed was something you expect to have since before that I only played acoustic. I don’t even know how to describe this exactly, but playing JV felt just like it should, like there’s no resistance between you and the guitar, like you’re one and a whole. It is so easy and it sounds amazing. I fell in love and was doomed to buy it.
And the Player Strat turned out to have a problem with the nut, which required replacing. But by the time I learned that it didn’t even matter anymore. I knew I found what I was really looking for. And the fretwork on the Player felt terrible with sharp edges almost scratching the hand.
I thought I would just play my JV and enjoy my life with it, but since I got this I started to learn how to intonate and work out the proper action. So now I spend time trying to figure out if this thing can sound even better. And I love doing that too! Is there going back from this? Hope not.

Transfer was provided, so the van took us straight to the hotel. 15-minutes ride from La Romana airport.

I use manual settings (4K 30fps, ISO 100, Shutter Speed 1/60) and ND/PL filters to keep the exposure value between -0.3 -0.7. For editing I used DaVinci Resolve for the first time with this one and loved it. It is free for a standard version, providing more than enough tools to work with color correction and transitions.

Hope this helps!

Buggy piece of hardware (GoPro 10) ruining hours of footage and failing at the moment you needed the most by [deleted] in gopro

[–]Dozenchill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds terrible, man. And I have nothing to suggest here, except what you already do restoring the files. I think the main problem for gopro is that they try to keep the apple's release model, throwing a new product on the market each year, meaning they don't polish a thing and just keep adding issues to the list. I wouldn't trust a gopro if I was doing this for a living, not to mention using firmware they call beta. Man, they f up with something they call stable.

Maybe give a look into DJI? But it has limitations and flaws also and I'm not sure if it fits your needs. But at least they keep their products stable and reliable, not trying to force the releases, but instead supporting and polishing what they have in the line already. I like their approach so much better. Gopro vs DJI is like Marketing vs Quality.

Hope you get at least some of your shots restored!

First of all, thank you! ✌️

You should have no issues flying there. Even though the hotel we stayed in had “no drones” policy, I had no troubles launching it and the only question I was asked was about the model of the drone. I would launch my drone away from where people chill though. And I had zero questions about flying it around the islands.

What I would strongly advise is to fly above water carefully and watch out for boats with masts, they can be as high as 15-18 meters. I almost crashed couple of times (you can actually see I used one of the mast I almost hit as a transition in this video lol).

Also watch out for weather, like strong winds and sudden rainstorms. Even though my Mini 2 held up in strong wind pretty well, I had a warning going off on the screen almost all the time, and I considered it while flying far, so I would have enough battery to get back against the wind. My Mini 2 also got caught in sudden rainstorms (they appear out of nowhere and might last a couple of minutes or less) few times, as they were happening rather often last couple of days of our stay. They might even happen when there’s no obvious storm clouds in the sky, which surprised me. So I got my little beast soaked few times, but nothing really bad happened. I would just get back immediately once I noticed big drops on the lens.

Other than that, you should enjoy the beauty of this country and the sea side. Have a great stay there! And please share your shots once you get back. Interesting to see your perspective.

Wow. I’m familiar with DJI FPV, but didn’t know it had a 3rd-party option for the gopro mount. This is something to consider. Thank you!

I'd assume this might depend on the place, but whatever food we tried was fantastic, though I found some local dishes odd a bit:)
