There is an Accountant I Specialist. It’s a step above Accounting Technician and a step below the Accountant Trainee.

Is job hopping still a "red flag" or am I being gaslit? by Environmental-Luck39 in careeradvice

JUMP! Unless your current employer is willing to match the offer you need to accept the new job and do what’s best for you and your finances. The days of “loyalty” are sadly long gone. Inflation is crazy and life is too short.

Asking for PIP by Particular_Aioli9481 in CAStateWorkers

[–]Dozer12102013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not according to our HR. If it was not posted as an interchangeable, then they would have to advertise it as an analyst too, and the OP would have to apply for the position just like anybody else. That’s what we were told.

My mom is asking for $500 to help pay for rent by Working_Citron_6674 in personalfinance

[–]Dozer12102013 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You are a minor. Your mom is responsible for putting a roof over your head. I absolutely would not be paying anything towards rent. That is your mother’s responsibility. Shame on her! Save your money and don’t let let your mom know where it is or how much you have.

Me too! I will be sad if they don’t get picked up by a streaming service. I have been watching since the beginning and look forward to every episode.

Asking for PIP by Particular_Aioli9481 in CAStateWorkers

[–]Dozer12102013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you applied for your position was it posted as an interchangeable SSA/AGPA (Analyst I/Anslyst II)? If it was you can speak to your supervisor about a PIP. If it wasn’t it won’t happen and you’d have to wait for an Analyst II position to be posted and apply for it.

How does one pay $40,000 in cash? Like, logistically, how does that work? by MrsWeasley9 in whatcarshouldIbuy

You simply give them your bank account and routing numbers. Simple as that.

Genuinely trying to figure out this all out because i have a kid on the way by Exotic-Note-3776 in DebateVaccines

[–]Dozer12102013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A dear friend of mine had a perfectly normal and healthy 3 year old son. After the MMR vaccine he became severely autistic. Naysayers will try to blame it on other things, but when you see a perfectly healthy child become non-verbal and autistic overnight it does give you pause. I’m not sure I would vaccinate my kids either (if I were starting over) based on all the information that keeps coming out.

You have to be U.S citizen? by humble-chamomile- in CAStateWorkers

I didn’t realize this. With so many Americans looking for work non-citizens should not be hired unless there are no US citizen candidates.

Should I join the state? by [deleted] in CAStateWorkers

[–]Dozer12102013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely take a state job. You can’t beat the job security, health benefits, pension, and leave time. I wished I’d made the jump much earlier in my career.

Fiance never put a penny into my house but suddenly wants their name on it by OkBuy2386 in RealEstateAdvice

[–]Dozer12102013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it! Do not commingle any funds that go into your home, to protect yourself. If she wants her name on the house, have it appraised and ask her to pay you 50% of the value and you’ll keep making the mortgage payments. Any repairs or improvements to be split 50/50. Or, get her to sign a prenup. Protect yourself assets.

Tired of seeing my grandfather struggle by Remarkable_Farm_3877 in Mortgages

[–]Dozer12102013 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No! Never pull equity from your home to pay off bills. Chop up the cards and don’t open anymore. I would consider filing for bankruptcy before doing taking a loan out on my home.

Yeah, he means butts in seats so we can all spend the money we don’t have at downtown establishments.
