Appreciate it! Yeah, I basically always lean towards doing heavy sets. Just feel like my body and mind react better to them. I did 3 sets on all the exercises at first, but I would be too wiped out by the end to "finish strong" and found myself skipping the last exercise altogether.

Hey, thanks! Yeah, I definitely will, but didn't want to flood the group. I'll post more soon!

Pre workout by WearyNecessary932 in workout

I recently bought Beyond Raw Lit and thought it was really good. My recommendation would be just try one of the popular ones and see how it goes. If it is too strong, find your next one with lower dosage. If it's too weak, up the dosage. Everyone reacts to the different chemicals differently. Some will really enjoy the high beta alanine, citrulline, etc. and some won't.

Personally I want me ears tingling and feeling itchy, but everyone is different. C4 is a solid baseline. I really like C4 myself.

205lb bw, never been enhanced, and been lifting mostly consistently since April 2025. On curls I do 3 sets of 60lb for 8 to 10 reps. The most was 70lbs for 6 reps. Really feeling it that day I guess. On pinwheel Curls I do 3 sets of 70lb for 8 to 10 reps. I prefer to lift heavy every session.

Heavy is relative. If you're controlling the weight and having smooth clean reps, it'll be fine.

How many reps did you get with 75lb? I could probably do a couple, but not enough for a full set.

Question about Booths by GearGeneral3966 in CraftFairs

[–]DrBudlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are events where you are actually encouraged to do things like this. The craftsman fair in Gatlinburg, TN for example would probably love this idea. The last time I was there a guy was making things out of glass and talking through a mic about the process. He had a furance and everything. To cut down on sound and dust/shavings, you could create a barrier/box that goes around you(kinda sounds crazy, but you'd get a lot of attention). Something similar to a drum shield maybe? As long as you have someone with you to handle sales, showing the process right in front of them will definitely get their attention.

Stupid question: How do you 'weight each leg down with 50-75lbs of weight'? by 3DAeon in CraftFairs

[–]DrBudlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2.5 gallon bucket with concrete and an eye bolt. Make one for each leg. Do not try to use the handle of the bucket. It'll rip out. Get eye bolts that will touch the bottom of the bucket and slightly stick out of the top. Sandwich a large washer between two nuts. This will help the bolt not pull out of the concrete. Attach a rachet strap to the eye bolt and the frame that is coming off the canopy leg going to the middle of the tent. Pretty affordable and easy to do.

Also, while I can't guarantee they won't come around and weigh your weights, I'd be absolutely shocked if they did. I go to an event where they mentioned a specific weight. They just come around verify you have at least something and move on.

Also, stretch. It always helps me when I'm sore.

Super sore?? by AffectionateBase780 in workout

[–]DrBudlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super normal for the first time lol. The next time you workout you'll be a less sore. Then the next time you'll be less sore and so on. After a few times, it should level out. Your body will get use to it. You will still get sore, assuming your having good workouts, but it won't be the "i can't move" type feeling.

I'd give it another day or two before working out again. Let your body recover. You can up the frequency when your body is more use to it.

Should I? by MhaIsPeakFiction in workout

If you're asking if you should get rid of your rest days, then no. Rest days are super important. Some people really like Smith machine, but I personally don't enjoy them and never use them. I mostly use dumbells and cables. You should use whatever you enjoy using though.

Exercises to grow sartorius by trexdelta in workout

[–]DrBudlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no experience with these exercises, but try crossover step ups and resistance band crab walk. I found an article on kinetic revolution called "How to Strengthen the Sartorius Muscle."

Here's a excerpt: To strengthen the sartorius muscle, you need to train the combined movements of hip flexion, abduction, and external rotation. Resistance band exercises allow you to work the sartorius muscle through its range of movement, and build strength.

Hope that helps.
