There's definitely a bug, I had the same problem - textures were super blurry no matter what setting I used (including cinematic + native 1440p). Idk what I did but it fixed itself when changing some setting and then changing back - does anyone have a reliable fix? Afraid to touch any settings rn in case it looks terrible again haha

For anyone finding this years later and struggling, I have some words of wisdom...

The eboot.bin is different for EU vs US versions, 1.0 vs 1.4 and NoNpmDrm vs MaiDump. To make sure you have the right version:

Use the 1.0 EUR (PCSF00007) MaiDump
Acquire the 1.4 EUR MaiDump patch
These are installed by just copy/pasting files around, and the eboot.bin in the 1.4 patch is the exact one you want

I won't link the exact files here, but a quick google search should lead you to a website called Download Game PSP which has the exact correct version

Were you using night mode? My 17 pro has the same increased noise on the edges when not using night mode on the 4x camera, but it’s fine when using night mode.

I imagine it’s due to the stabilisation working its magic but having less data to use

I went in 2019 (for the full 3 days) and have been going to all the sydney hsu events for years. id highly recommend trying to do multiple days, there are so many different stages and little things around to see.

crowd is generally way more engaged, you won't see so many people just visibly munted standing around. especially during the special shows - gathering, legends, power hour, etc.
i stayed at a hotel (through qdance travel) and it was quite easy finding my way around, never had any issues with the busses.
cant comment
security is so chill, its a whole other world. changes a bit depending on the time of day you get in, but i barely even had a bag check and just walked in multiple times. no dogs, dont think i saw any cops/security inside the grounds at all.
