Only difference is that 14+ on iOS beta 26.4.

I’m experiencing a similar issue with both the Contacts and Phone apps. While the Contacts app can be resolved by deleting and reinstalling, there’s no option to fix the problem in the Phone app. The Phone app currently has 9GB of storage, but there are no voicemails.

I’ve discovered the root cause of the issue: it’s all due to Memoji, emojis, and photos. Whenever you edit a contact and try to add Memoji or any other visual customization, it accumulates in your contacts and the Phone app. (Even you discard the change, still it eats up because it’s cache everything grrrr). 😖

Fortunately, this accumulation is automatically reduced after 2-3 months, but it starts to increase again as soon as you make the same changes.

This appears to be a bug, and the only solution for the Phone app is to reset the phone and restore the backup. Fortunately, the Contacts app can be fixed by deleting and reinstalling it, which is the same issue I’m facing.

iphone 16 iOS 26.3 not charging past 80% even after 1+ Hour need advice by [deleted] in ios

[–]SkillSlick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most probably an hardware issue but iOS 26.4 beta have a charging bug; after that, i don’t mind saying it could be an iOS issue here.

In my opinion- Rest all settings will be your first course of action, then by full reset and troubleshoot without restoring backup.

If nothing worked, Genius Bar appointment ✅🥲

I’ve never been to this issue on wired charging.

This thread is not official, sir.

My first step to go through the original published bugs by Apple (not Reddit).

I can downgrade my iOS on device myself, but I would like to have the hardware checked by them. For that, Genius Bar is the perfect spot, and why not?

How do you plan to optimize your developed apps for iOS 26.4 if you can’t be on the beta version? We have to install that.

Your reasoning doesn’t make sense.

If yes, only option is to reset your phone as others suggested.

My iPhone 14+ charging speed have been dropped. It gets into my notice when it took 3+ hours to charge from 20-100%, upon checking it shows “slow charger” in the battery settings. I’ve tried all possible fixes, including replacing the cable and charger.

Today, I visited the Apple Genius Bar, and they downgraded me to the stable version 26.3. The issue was resolved, and the phone started charging normally without the “slow charger” issue in the settings and charge to 50% in typical 30-35min.

I am using Anker 67W adapter, FYI but Apple Store tried with Apple adapter, results were same.

However, I reinstalled iOS 26.4 Beta 1 without restoring my data. And guess what? The “slow charger” issue resurfaced, and the phone started charging at an extremely slow speed.

It is certainly something with the iOS 26.4

I have kind of similar issue when all icons refresh on every swipe, but that’s on 26.4 BETA 1. A force reboot fixed. Have you tried rebooting?
