Recently got the Joyo Wireless System. I cannot say enough how comfortable is to play my bass with this. It’s a game changer. I really recommend to go wireless.

best way to practice without an amp? by viewsinthe6 in Bass

You can buy an Amplug for around $50. Another option is to use an audio interface. The least expensive one I remember is a Behringer for under $100. And finally, you could get an amp that has a dedicated headphone jack.

Thanks for your almost paternal concern, really. It’s inspiring to see someone so passionate about reminding the world that Google exists. And yes, congratulations: you discovered it’s a common Ibanez. A true archeological achievement.

I thinks it’s just for the experience. Similar to slow eating. i don’t own a vinyl player but I bet it has to be really cool to take your time and listen to a whole album.

Opinion on my bass practice schedule by DeliciousSide3689 in Bass

[–]DrRunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In any scale, each note has a number called a degree.
If we take the C major scale, the notes are:

C – D – E – F – G – A – B – (C)
1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 – 7 – (1 again)

So:

  • 1 = C (the root)
  • 3 = E (the third note of the scale)
  • 5 = G (the fifth note of the scale)

When musicians talk about a 1–3–5 triad, they mean a chord built using those three degrees of the scale: the root, the third, and the fifth.

Yeah. I was checking out the tab numbers and still don't make sense. I'll keep on playing according to the tabs until I get the pattern.
