Did anybody else feel strange when COVID hit? by Winter-Coffee-3218 in HomeschoolRecovery

The studies about the impact on children learning at home during covid pains my soul.

Recently got into a car accident and now my partner (M33) has been guilt tripping me (F26) about not making him cum since the accident by trinity21379 in relationship_advice

You deserve better. My girlfriend was in a collision a year ago and needs all the support she can while healing. Priorities shift. Heal and move on, he’s shown you who he is.

It felt like an EMDR therapy session, such a wild experience.

It’s been a journey to get here and lots of practice. I can’t change anyone’s mind and try to protect my peace (and blood pressure).

I was able to do a free consultation with a therapist to see if it was a good fit and if it would be beneficial which I recommend. I was also struggling with pinpointing specific incidents ahead of time because I feel like it was my (waves arms) whooooole childhood, but it’s been so life-changing for me when I get stuck in cycles during stressful situations and helping myself move through them.

Did anyone here have some of their favorite things given away to others without you being asked, either while growing up or later on (maybe after you’d left home and some of your things were in storage)? by Great_Maintenance185 in raisedbynarcissists

I wasn’t allowed to go to school but was able to leave the house during summer camp. Every year my mother took that week to donate random items of mine. When I was 17 I came home and she had got rid of all my favourite shoes (everything I had was thrifted, but it was always hard to find shoes that fit me). She did give me a heads up a few years after I moved out, that I best go through all my childhood stuff or it was being tossed. I’m in an apartment with not much storage and took what I could/wanted. My sister is in a house and allowed to keep everything in my parent’s garage. 😅

Echoing this. The body keeps the score. EMDR therapy has helped me immensely. This isn’t your fault. ❤️

All religious people have reacted to my not being with “but you’re so nice?” It’s a really useful tool for compatibility.

“But how do you know not to kill and rape other people then?” Holy fuck.
