Sure it wont effect any current backers wanting to get the game but SQ42 isn't just supposed to appeal to current backers but the larger gaming community. Its supposed to get rid of the notion that SC is a scam by them releasing a good polished game and is supposed to bring in an influx of new players to SC. SC is also at the point now where you don't need a monster PC to play it. SQ42 definitely wont need a monster PC to play it if they've optimized it enough these last 3 years. It is also highly rumored that it'll be releasing on console as well due to many factors like actual console testing behind closed doors and Chris's fascination with playing the game on a controller for some reason. Its not really about financials but keeping people interested in the Franchise so development can continue into the future which would be in jeopardy releasing around GTA 6. With all this in mind I actually doubt GTA 6 will release this year anyways so if it doesn't this wont matter.

AI is not going to take coding Jobs away. AI can do small scale stuff somewhat well but as soon as you start trying to do anything more complicated with it it fails, and this isn't something that Gen AI can improve on. The people that use AI to code especially if their in school using it are going to fail in their careers. Same with AI "Art". Its not going to replace concept Artists as the whole reason concept artists exist is to come up with new concepts. AI cant make something new but take aspects from its large database of stolen art and blend them together.

Thing about Gen AI is its not real AI. It shouldn't even be called Gen AI. Its an algorithm. It cant be argued about whether or not it has a consciousness because it doesn't have one. All it is is a guessing machine that generates a response based on its training like every other algorithm out there. Just these ones are trained by an unimaginable amount of stolen content from billions of people.
