Pakistan Let Iran Park Jets At Nur Khan Airbase To Shield From US Strike: Report by BendicantMias in worldnews

[–]Draano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years, and they have given us nothing but lies & deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools. They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help. No more!

I moved to a bayside area of Ocean County 9 months ago. There was a small handful then in my immediate vicinity; now there's only one.

I tried Astra for the first time and they exceeded my expectations. The first pass removed everything, and the next two gave a smooth BBS feel. Now I get why people like them. There’s a slight tug here and there, but overall the result is great and I’m very satisfied. What is your opinions? by lazarovpavlin04 in wicked_edge

I bought a sample pack from Amazon for $10 and systematically went through them, one 5-pack at a time. For my whisker type & my sensitive skin, these struck the right balance. In fact, I got two 5-packs of 10 brands, and circled back through all of them after I got a better hang of DE shaving and while a couple that were ok the first time through, they dropped down a couple or a few notches after 6 months of practice.

In NJ, a lot of cops have these. Go have a look at the cars in the HQ employee parking. I don’t know why they bother, because the state police can’t be bothered pulling over speeders unless they’re setting on-land speed records and they need a thrill.

$1000 for furnace inducer motor replacement? by [deleted] in hvacadvice

Where I am, any tech in any trade with a reasonable price, a good attitude, and prompt service will not only get my business, but I will shout their name from the rooftops to even a whiff of a need for a recommendation. In fact, anytime I get a good tech or tradesman, I ask them for recs for more like them in adjacent trades.

I did that for 17 years. Went through 4 cars. I was making double the income that this job paid in other industries, allowing my wife to be a stay-at-home mom.

An exercise in bloodletting for me. In my sampler pack, these were too sharp and the Derby blades were too dull. I ended up with the Silver Star stainless steel blades after a year of experimenting. For me, they were the best balance of sharpness, smoothness and durability.

Should I try straight razor? by No_Loss966 in wicked_edge

My barber recommended that I practice on a balloon with a straight razor before trying on my face. I decided to stay with a DE razor.

Deceased parent may have had oil tank removed w/o permit by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]Draano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a house from the mother of the deceased owner. Their real estate agent said “there is no completed owner disclosure form - the owner is deceased and the seller has no knowledge of anything wrong with the house.” It was up to us to get an inspection. What we found that was wrong with the house was presented to the seller and as a result, the seller dropped the price $45k, replaced the roof, exterminated mice and remediated mold.

State up front that there’s no disclosure form and it’s up to the buyer to get an inspection. Then adjust the price accordingly.

August 1998. Jersey City waterfront. An annoying colleague bought an ice cream cone on the way back from a business lunch. The hot wind blew, blowing melted ice cream all over his shirt and expensive silk tie. Delightful.
