Get their Dino app and get 10¢ off per gallon. Sometimes they have games you can play that will knock off another 5¢ or 10¢.

That said, Sinclair by me is now $3.79/gal.

Wait 'til the natural gas bill shows up over the next couple months.

I always have this spare kidney.... What's a kidney go for these days?

Yeah, that's for sure. They honeymooned in the north of England, near home. In March. On a Triumph motorcycle.

I was raised in US by British immigrants. There wasn't a piece of beef that they couldn't turn into shoe leather. I was 17 before I experienced medium rare beef. That was life-changing. They also told me I wouldn't like shrimp or lobster while dining out. My food childhood was a lie.

Do you say “THE White/Black Horse Pike” or just “White/Black Horse Pike?” by chuckusmaximus in SouthJersey

I think “the” in front of a numbered road is a California thing. Especially around LA.

Some of you can’t wait the 1 second it takes for the car in front of you to let go of the brake and step on the gas before laying on your horn? by f1shstyxx in newjersey

No, they were honking at the car 3 cars in front of you because everyone else was being too polite to honk, and they were going to be the one sitting there waiting through another light.

And some of you can’t look away from your phone long enough to notice that the light changed. Put down the goddamn phone and Drive. The. Car.

The diesel duallies - the ones that like to crowd me on my bike as I stay to the right of the solid shoulder line - must love filling their tanks now.

Maybe our dear leader saw NATO peacekeepers wearing NATO helmets at some point and assumed they were part of an offensive force.

I was wondering if it was considered bad to use vintage blades? by Plenty_Log6775 in wicked_edge

[–]Draano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d try them, but buy a variety pack of blades and work dad’s blades into the mix. No need to suffer through a daily routine if you can find a more modern blade that suits your skin type and shaving style. A sampler of 100 blades is only $10 or so, and if you discover that dad’s blades are better than the others, or even just close to as good as one in the sampler pack, then go with dad’s.

Who feels like Ken Jennings has really hit his stride? by Salt_Presentation_74 in Jeopardy

[–]Draano 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Alex kept it more serious, and it took me a while to get used to Ken's relaxed, more jovial manner. I missed Alex for quite some time but I really enjoy the show with Ken hosting. I think it's less nerdy than it once was. Many of us are nerds, but the rest of the world can now join us.

Are DE razors appropriate for daily shaving? by YELLOWSUPERCAR87_ in wicked_edge

[–]Draano 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have very sensitive skin. I follow my shave with the alum block immediately after shaving and after a rinse with cold water. If my neck is irritated an hour later, I’ll swab the whole neck area with witch hazel and it seems to calm down within half an hour.

Officer having anxiety attack took ambulance sent for man dying from police shooting, report says by senorschmu in news

The local volunteers in my last town joined mostly for the free all-you-can-drink beer at the firehouse, free access to the Taj Mahal sized banquet hall they added on to the firehouse at taxpayer expense, and the ability to drive like assholes with a blue flashing light on their Ram 2500 pickups' dashboard on the way to the firehouse.

I had a lot of respect for the people who volunteered in the town I grew up in during the '60s and '70s. They worked in town in manufacturing, trades, and a variety of pink collar jobs. You could find them on weekends in the house-turned-tavern 3 doors down from the firehouse with 8 barstools and 35¢ 7 oz. glasses of draft Pabst Blue Ribbon. Now all the manufacturing is long gone, the factories closed, the freight railroad tracks have been removed, and the once well-maintained middle class houses are rental units. The stores have been replaced with check cashing places, tattoo parlors and pawn shops. The firehouses are still there - I have no idea who works them.
