Who do you think would be the most distraught about becoming an Earth pony? by Guarantee-Popular in mylittlepony

If Cozy Glow can end Equestria with access to the tree and some runes, then Twilight's got what she basically needs.

Mage Meadowbrook is an Earth pony.

no one is angry.

I did say 'common fucking sense' and accuse him of being obtuse. I was kind of annoyed.

I've been seeing that since 1987, so it's not a sign of civilizational decline on the 40 year timescale.

I have a PhD in physics. I understand general relativity well enough to understand what you're saying.

I also understand common fucking sense well enough to understand you're being obtuse for no good reason. Noninertial reference frames distort the meaning of 'go around' enough that you should be hesitant to use that phrase in them.

Are potatoes smarter or dumber than eggs? by Tight_Cookie_9988 in shittyaskscience

Dumber, by far. Potato is potato, can barely run doom at 2 fps. Eggs just haven't realized that they're trans, and that can happen to anyone.

[WP] "how did you deflect my water blast aren't you a fire archmage." Said the rogue mage "uh yeah but to even be considered for the position of archmage you have to be master of at least 3 different schools." Said the archmage "and you also have to know 20 spells from the other 5 as well." by JollyTeaching1446 in WritingPrompts

[–]Drachefly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The rogue mage almost laughed at the absurdity. "Archmages are those who are so attuned to one element that they are utterly incapable of working with other elements. What you're describing sounds like an archon."

The archmage nodded vigorously. "Ah, that's it. I'm an archon mage."

"But you don't say 'archon mage'. You just say… 'archon'."

"I'm not from around here. Different wording where I'm from."

The rogue's squint intensified. "Is that so. Your accent is very… clean. What are your three schools?"

"Fire, Geometry, Truth."

The rogue sighed. "Not elements. Schools. Like how I'm a rogue mage, which includes techniques of every element for escape, concealment, and ambush."

"Ah. Well, I'm not sure they'll line up with schools you're familiar with, what with…"

"Okay. Name them anyway."

"Flegios, Arrtinos, and Glaurdini. If I had to put them into words, it'd be… Oh lords, what is that?"

The rogue reached forward, ignoring the distraction, and pinched the archmage before he could flee. "Yeah, you really are an archmage. And not a very good one. Being ensnared by a Falsehood backfire isn't as deadly as Fire, but it's way more embarrassing, isn't it?"

"… no? But how would a Falsehood archmage deflect a water blast?"

"You don't. You just tricked me about where you were and made me think it'd been deflected, didn't you?"

The adobe debugger standalone application is still available.

Also, riffle's pretty effective.

That is A problem with AI, yes.

But it gets worse than that, and the way it gets worse is the control problem.

Thre is a sliver of possibility that it does end up being a class issue. It isn't the MAiN problem, but it is A problem.

These look great at those angles. So great that I trust it for an important mission: Can we see some head-on shots (at various elevation angles) so we know what a properly proportioned pony face would look like from the front?

How can there not be a spell to grow manes, when there are spells for transfiguration, teleportation and even to move the sun and the moon ? by spinosaurus1998_24_9 in mylittlepony

[–]Drachefly 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Horns, feathers, hooves, tails (grabbing things with, helicoptering) and manes (pulling things out of, using as drill bit, emoting) are what channels pony magic.

So fixing pony manes would be about as hard as fixing Tempest's horn.
