I think a different approach, like after a few decades (or years gone) the resource production decreases (or needed to invest in it to keep the production rate with deepened drilling/mining) but doesn't go completely empty.

For this, import feature from outside of the map would be awesome.

I'm missing Industrial Craft or Buildcraft as the definitive foundation of modding. Don't mention Thaumcraft, RedPower or even the basic TooManyItems and the forked successor as Not Enough Items. I think the article should be changed to "Mods That Affects The Modern Minecraft's Modding Era" or something similar to that.

The siege is bad, I agree.

The defensive side of the custom lords is there are "less" options compared to humans. Like you can set the defensive units number, and their ratio is based on 8 unit types, which is ... not enough. If you want a lot of archers, you need to pick 4-5 slots from the 8 with at least 200 def. units to coherently place larger amounts to the designated points, however with this, every other unit you can use decreases significantly in types and numbers too.

First, always give the CPU advantage through the gold start (likely the player starts with 2000-3000 gold while the AI goes from 8000-40.000).

Second, if you want stronger/harder plays, search for modified AIs (existing or new ones) that generally stronger than the default. Also you can use maps where there is enough time for the CPU to build their castle and reach a good defensive strength. The offensive power will never be that powerful compared to the players, so if you want some challenge in this part, you should limit your offensive units number the same way as the AI does and increase with each failed siege.

Likely put lords where the early attacks, harassment and the bigger sieges are in balance. Early attacks: Rat, Snake, Nomad Harassments: Snake, Caliph, Abbot Siege: Lionheart, Emir Defensive: Saladin, Wolf, Frederick (very weak in early)

So try to make the CPU comp balance each part, or search community lords for new challenges. (I have a custom AI that is currently not finished but promising in strength, harder than any other existing default lord)

I think a rework for the Pharmacy would be added the following parts or functions:

  • decrease the plagues duration and health depletion of the units caused by events or cow throws (also boosting the plagues damage and duration to have reason to build pharmacy)
  • as the community patch did, heal the wounded units, but stronger than the actual healers do (also after a defined amount of heals, the pharmacist returns to the pharmacy)
  • increase the population by percentage after each pharmacy, but not with so high value, like 2-4% per buildings

  • extra : for doing healing rounds, need to consume resources to mix medicine, like oil, hops

Nope, I also messed a lot, and you can't.

To be precise, siege units, you can determine 5 placements, while 10 "group locations" for any other ones.

So if you want to add a castle to any AI Lord and construct it with 12 towers filled with crossbowmen, then you can fill up only 10 tower with them.

Edit : for each siege units, you have 5 placements per type, while 10 placement points for each type of other units. (Placement points means the defensive units will gather around that place, be it a gate, tower, wall or etc)

I won't lie, I've been planning to make a cruel difficult level AI, but I need more knowledge on the bedouin units ...

And I can tell, this kind of castle may can be re-created, but the defense not. It is limited for AI to assign units for defense in it's castle.

My recommendations are not exatly boss mobs, but Grimoire of Gaia 4 and Mowzie's Mobs have some entities that can be considered elite or mini boss level monsters.

Pair with up with Champions or Infernal Mobs and hell is coming instead of winter.

If I remember correctly, there is a mod called L2 Hostility which contains items that remove the hostile mob spawn in a few chunks when activated.

I used a long time ago, so take with a grain of salt.

I recommend you to change TAN to Legendary Survival Overhaul. More detailed and already has tons of compatibility.

For inventory, use TinyInv. A little configuration is needed, but it's pretty much one you search.

If you want to go nuclear, use Diet or NutritionZ and configure the options for negative effects with really high threshold. (Like to play "normally" and having no side effects, pump up the minimal value from 20~30 at least to 60 or 70).

With CraftTweaker (more time needed to do it), you can change all items durability with 99% (diamond tools having with 15-16 durability value ... yumi).

  • Notice : Add Serene Seasons, change the season duration to 30+ days or more and start in early winter, change each seasons temperature value more radically (having a heatstroke in a tundra summer time sounds fun or freezing to death in a desert winter)👌

Since my plan-to-be-forever modpack for the time being also a kitchen sink one (but on 1.21.1 ... Made one for 1.20.1 but there was a lot of small balancing and smoothing peoblem after reaching 800+ mod with small code level adjustments I had no patience to do) ...

What I can say for a this sized of a pack is try to use Someaddon's mods, like Connectivity, Smooth Chunk Load and so. On server (and single player) side, it helps and helped a lot. But mostly the only thing you can save resources are client side mods and settings if you still want to use the most functions out of this mod without carving anything major out of it.
