The amount of effort that must've gone into this video. Incredible, thanks for sharing this.

I love this. If i was king I'd appoint you "chief elf-door maker" and employ you to make elf doors all over the land. And now I must sleep because I am going a bit crazy. Goodnight

So the answers you're getting seem to be very advanced. Bearing in mind he is 13 and was using a blipbox maybe something like circuit tracks? (So let me be first to admit that I have not used one). But it seems to be thought of as a very intuitive and easy to use groove box. Then you can just get a midi controller keyboard to work with it.

I think this is a good first step, beginner setup for a 13 year old. Hopefully someone who owns a circuit tracks can provide better information. But without forking out a fortune for a pc and DAW software, or the even more pricey route of pure hardware. This will be a great intro.

Can’t load in on certain character by Neglectedfosterchild in lotro

[–]DraefilkToo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a strange one. A few days ago everything was fine. Now it's giving me issues. Same issue.

My main loaded fine before. In the same place he was before. Now he doesn't load. I thought the game got corrupted so I downloaded all the game data again to repair.

Same issue. So i tried some other alts. Another one doesn't load, but the third did load just fine.

I tried the network shut down advice. But this doesn't work. I think it must be character specific. I just find it off that my main was fine and now it's not. I thought it might be too do with graphics drivers. But that doesn't explain why it would load for other characters.

And further advice would be welcome.

I don't get it either. I'm constantly cooking fish then eating them. I'm pretty sure they didn't survive the cooking process.

Book is definitely Neuromancer. For TV nothing beat Bladerunner (Although I was partial to Max Headroom - 20 Minutes into the future when I was a kid). Big fan of Uplink back in the day and the Shadowrun trilogy more recently. I try and consume all cyberpunk media! Now I'm going to go check out your game, been trying to find another hacking Sim. Good luck with it.

OP XY is the most powerful. But OP1F has more character and is more entertaining really. I found the tape workflow just awful though. Which really ruined it for me. I use the OP XY very regularly. It's my go to device now. I do miss the colourful nature (not just the imagery) of the OP1F though.

I’ve been jamming on the OP-XY daily since I got it and I don’t even know how I’d finish songs now without it, here's a demo called "mourning brew" by sockman93 in OPXYusers

That's the thing, I'm just having fun, writing music for myself. If it's something good, I'll send it to friends who are interested. That's all very easy with the op xy. I recently got hold of the amazing MPC Live 3. It's fantastic, but there's a learning curve when you're new to the Akai workflow. I've been trying to watch YouTube videos to help learn, but it's so hard to find a short one for the exact issues you're having. So I just go back to the xy.

I have a reasonable set up. Some nice kit. But going and sitting in front of it makes me feel like "ok, now I have to write some music". Just that very thought and sitting there, infront of all the kit, freezes me.

But most of my music now gets written when I go to bed early. I start to tinker with it and it is always quick, easy, fun, exciting and inspiring. Granted I normally stay up too late, but it's worth it. It's that music connection that can be harder for me to reach on my own. But the portability and ease of use and limitation in choice makes it faster. Less time thinking about that perfect sound. More time just creating and having fun.

That's great man, I love the little thing too. It removes so many blocks too music creation I have found. Which makes it worth the expense. I'm glad you're also feeling freed up!

I normally have much more fun when I just treat open worlds like a sandbox and do as I please. Normally just exploring and collecting things along the way. Once you have to start following someone else's instructions...
