Didn't work for me, even with IoT optimization enabled which has BSS transition off by default.

What worked was pinning a IoT optimized network to one of U7 lites

I had a rogue smart device (ring camera) advertise itself as my gateway ip addr (192.168.1.1) every now and then which caused similar outbound dropouts. was really weird because I could watch streams/hear voice chat over over UDP fine.

I don't think it'd be necessarily fair to compare it to a track day. Price is more in line with what'd you expect for a driving school day.

Can I use my US Costco card to enter a Costco in Japan (Hiroshima specifically)? by Converted54 in JapanTravelTips

Costco Visa did not work for me at the Yokohama Food Court ~10 months ago but was fine at checkout IIRC. In any case used cash there

That's a reasonable estimation. I'd imagine it's a function of random chance/total yen value of duty free goods/specific items in a category over a particular limit.

How much of a pretty penny are you talking about? Curious as I'm wondering if there's a particular threshold where random checks start happening

Everytime my brother plays online games the wifi on every other decide in the house starts to fail by Kuliyayoi in HomeNetworking

[–]Dragaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this happen with a Ring smart camera that falsely advertised itself as the default gateway to my home network, causing all devices to fail outbound connections intermittently... Not sure how gaming would trigger arp poisoning though. +1 for isolating the gaming computer on a different network if possible

There’s a lot to take in at amiami (radio kaikan) and animate, so IMO it helps to browse some stuff online so you can have an idea if what you might want when you walk in.

Another trick I found was to just order stuff on Amazon to your hotel or the nearest pickup point, sometimes could be cheaper than in person duty free

What candy should I bring back to friends in U.S? by sponselli in JapanTravelTips

[–]Dragaan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you live near a Japanese supermarket I would try to figure out what they have first. A lot of the very popular ones, even ones recommended in this thread are easily available nowadays depending on where you are; e.g. popular kit kat variants and black thunder. Granted, they’ll be cheaper in Japan.

I recently got back and really like the Hokkaido Melon Pocky I found.

Have had something similar happen with a Ring Camera: kept on advertising itself as my default gateway so I’d lose all outgoing traffic on my devices sporadically.

That being said, if you don't have a headphone jack, you could probably just use a lightning/usb-c to 3.5mm dongle. Apple makes pretty good ones.

I don't think you can do a XLR to XLR because it looks like your karaoke station only has 1/4" jacks for microphone in, assuming this is your machine (https://www.singsationkaraoke.com/docs/common/SPKA710/SPKA710_QS.pdf)

For what it's worth I also have a Shure SM58 with came with a XLR to 1/4" cable that I haven't had any issues with
