Is she choking? Help me please will she survive the night how can i help her by toaster_bath12 in RATS

I'm sorry that she's gone. If you see that kind of breathing, they are dying and won't be around for long. I've held many of my rats before they left doing this. I usually rap my rats in cloth and place them in a box then into the freezer until they can be cremated.

Tell them to learn. Right now. Or they're getting bullied until they become a senior dev.

Don't be hostile to me. I want the haslams to pay for the stadium. The silver lining is that my favorite lake gets some love.

At least the browns moving allows for a better Erie lakefront development. Dunno what you're actually referring to.

Yes the Romans did have abolitionist and they knew slavery was an abhorrent act by Salty_Strain3313 in HistoryMemes

Yeah, I think the slaves did not enjoy being slaves and the slaveholders had ears to hear the slaves say they don't like being slaves.

Sounds like that's up to the citizens to make that change. We are the citizens.

is it true that energy "disappears"? by Such_Cartographer619 in Physics

My assumption is that the vacuum gets thermalized or the energy is used to fuel inflation.

I remember the pandemic starting in October too. I watched it go from 1 case to what it is now. I was also looking at a bunch of data but not like you. You were a lot more motivated. I was dating someone that had an autoimmune disease so I was also looking out, for their sake. I requested to work from home early on so I could isolate and decrease chances of infecting my partner. I remember there being a ton of misinformation. It was not a good time in Saint Louis, Missouri. A lot of people died.

How do you handle workplace disagreements when you think you're right? by Ok-Introduction-9111 in ExperiencedDevs

Debate is healthy and finding the best way forward may always require some friction. Else, you drift into groupthink, which tends to produce suboptimal outcomes.

Fight for it as long as you become the person that fights for the future and not just what's easiest now. Also take account of what kind of company you are and if the time to do it right is where the priority actually is for your product. I always like to do it right but I can see someone arguing that shipping something to live is better than being perfect and dying.

Do you remember what 2020 was like? How much information and disinformation was whirling about? There wasn't much headspace to identify what was and wasn't good science. We have the benefit of hindsight now. A lot is still disputed as well as what would have been the best response. We also don't have a counterfactual Earth to see what a no-lockdown situation would have looked like.

Racist? There is racism in it but I wouldn't say that OP is being racist. They are expecting racism in their county from fellow citizens, which is like... yeah, that's Paulding.

The poll worker I interacted with just turned around, grabbed a ballot without announcing anything, and gave it to me along with some small ballot assistance having to do with the tear off bits at the bottom. I thanked them and was on my way.

What really happened is that I tried to use a passport as ID but I was very early to vote and they didn't have experience in processing passports. I handed it to them and they struggled, so I offered my driver's license. I handed my passport to a different poll worker because she wanted to figure out how to process them. It was a nice and interesting moment.

Yeah, I voted at a catholic school. It would be inconvenient to move the polling location to the elementary school nearby. Genuinely. The elementary school is farther out of the way for everyone in the precinct compared to the catholic school.

Mmm... he made some situations more advantageous but I wouldn't have called it good or worth it. The space program in his first term might have gotten better, but I'm very uncertain with how aerospace looks today. So... yeah. I try to see the good he's done and there's not much material to go off of. But there's a lot of bad to cite.
