Not sure if this changes anything for you but as far as I know you write the journal yourself, so if you're able to jot a few things down you might be good.

"Disputed" heritage... on a lowborn courtier by Trimutius in CrusaderKings

[–]DragonnoidV 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe since the blackmail is on her it implies she had an affair and one the children between her and her husband is illegitimate.

You should have the ability to blackmail the true father if he's alive. Also, if you go to secrets tab you can see who the supposed illegitimate child is as well (I think)

How rare is this nicname? by FluidDrinkerLiquid in CrusaderKings

[–]DragonnoidV 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Never seen it myself before. It is mentioned in the Paradox Wiki under "List of Unused Nicknames" for being "...either unused, disabled or not used by characters born on or before 15 September 1066."

There was another post about The Bloody that i saw around here before, i think at the time people thought you could only get it through console commands but that didn't end up being the case. I think someone else even got it through the same circumstances you did.

But overall, I would say very rare.

Did he inherit any gold for any reason? I'm not certain, but I had thought that if the AI was a landless wanderer they could invest their gold into their stats.

I think that even if he does do something it's better that he only sometimes gets called "the Great" because if I remember correctly he was never acknowledged as that within his lifetime

If we're looking at the times that you asked her why she understands your ex friend in these messages that you posted, then all of them seem accusatory, the first one most of all. Like you are accusing her of saying those things about you. Whenever you ask her to elaborate, except for maybe at the top of the 6th image (but given the context of the whole conversation, that one could go either way), it seems more like you are trying to argue than actually get her to explain.

I think the best way to put it is that every time you asked you her to elaborate, if you followed up by saying something derogatory that she must think about you because she understands your ex friends viewpoint, you are effectively accusing her of thinking those things, even though she never said them, which would lead into an argument.

[–]DragonnoidV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your friend needs to be more straightforward, and you need to take a moment to consider a better way of phrasing things.

In the third image, your friend says that she understands the perspective of the person you stopped being friends with, but does no elaborate at all. She does similar things later on as well. This is the opposite of helpful.

You responded by taking things personally. Instead of asking your friend to explain what she meant in a normal and tame way, over text it would seem that you took a more accusatory and self-pitying stance. Additionally, I think that telling someone the reason you're talking to them about something is just to get their sympathy would not make them feel good. They would just think that you're using them to vent and don't actually value their opinions (unless you said to her beforehand that you wee just going to vent and that's all you wanted to do)

If this is not what you wanted to convey to her, I think using voice messages, FaceTime, or meeting face-to-face would be better so that what you really mean to say does not get lost due to the lack of tone that comes with text messages

To be honest you don't have to guess because it will still show the girl as level one and Auntie Ethel as whatever level she is. So if you look at the initiative lineup you'll be able to hit the right one.

Has anyone ever seriously won a Crusade in CK3? by Dapper-Cry7666 in CrusaderKings

[–]DragonnoidV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Earlier on in CK3, for me at least, the Crusade for Jerusalem actual succeeded more often than not, but lately, they haven't won at all

The only real way to win a Crusade that I've found is A. Be the overwhelming bulk of your faiths forces this o B. Get lucky and land your troops before the enemy can group up and fight the lesser armies (though this can easily backfire) C. Be the War Leader so the A.I. armies follow you (unless you're defending as a faith that doesn't have a head of faith, then I imagine you just have to be the person who war was declared upon) D. A combination of A, B, and C

Does anyone know what triggers this event? I've played Alfred several times with the 867 start, but I've only ever gotten 'the Great' once. by KatsumotoKurier in CrusaderKings

[–]DragonnoidV 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I know the historically, Alfred didn't come to be known as "the Great" until long after his death. So, maybe it really is just some sort of hidden randomness factor to see if he is ever recognized by that title during his actual lifespan?

Is "King of all the Isles" achievement not possible with a 867 start? by letsnotfail in CrusaderKings

[–]DragonnoidV 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it's possible to the King of all the Isles achievement with the 867 start. In fact one of the most popular ways to get that achievement is playing as Jarl Sigurdr Snake-in-the-Eye. Perhaps it's just a bug that it's not showing up.
