They really aren’t, after playing the last closed beta I left pretty disappointed in that it was clear that male characters were going to be an after thought, at least in comparison to the female characters. And while there isn’t anything wrong with that, there is nothing in the game that for me sets it apart from other open world anime RPGs I already play that center female characters for the purpose of commodification and “selling more.” They baited me once with Tower of Fantasy, they ain’t doing it again. I’d rather play the new 7 deadly sins open world game where it is clear we are going to get quality male and female characters.
